The Scare Crow RisesParticipantHere’s what I would do If I could rig an entire 1st round like many seem to think happens from time to time(Ewing/Knicks Draft-96 Draft Class-The Lebron/Rose drafts-Hell even last years Draft with Cleveland getting the top pick)
Well here’s what I would do if had the supreme Stern power
The Top 3 would go as followed
1. The Detroit Pistons Win The Lottery in My Power Trip- Anthony Davis revives the bad boy Pistons defense with Greg Monroe at Center and Brandon Knight at Pg, in a few years this could be a Championship contender, if The Scoring guards Stuckey and Gordon can compliment the duo of Davis and Monroe along with the shooting of the tall Forwards Prince, Jerebko and Daye, Brandon Knight’s progession as a Point Guard will be Key but I feel he’d play a Chauncy Billups role on a team centric Pistons ball club, Villanueva will be cut via Amnesty and Ben Gordon will emerge as a 6th man finalist next year, they’ll be two years away from becoming the Pacers of Today, 3 to 5 years away from conteding for a Title. this is the best case of Big City/Struggling Market in need of A Star, Davis is that young promising star, even if he’s just a Rasheed Wallace/Reserved KG on a deep squad
2. The Sacramento Kings Win the 2nd Pick in The Draft – Micheal Kidd Gilchrist gets selected by the Kings to bring in defensive intangibles and leadership to a team lacking in that area, The trio of Evans at Pg/Sg/Sf MKG at Sg/Sf and DMC at Pf/C will give the Kings franchise a great young core moving forward, if they can find a way to get back into the Lottery and select Marquis Teague to play Pg that would be great- a Trade I see working out is Jimmer Freddete or Marcus Thorton for a Lottery Pick, the Kings then select Teague and walk away with a Core of Teague/Evans/Kidd-Gilchrist/Cousins, they’d be a free agent Pf signing away from being a very good 8th to 10th seed in a year with a very bright future, a role player like Kris Humpries would fit in or the Team could take a huge risk on Anthony Randolph or Micheal Beasley to play Pf in a stretch Pf role
3. The New Orleans win the 3rd overall pick with their 2012 Draft and select Andre Drummond, the Hornets get one of the riskiest picks in the Draft but one that will produce very well next to former U-Conn Center Emeka Okefor as an athletic scorer at Pf/C, will this move sway Eric Gordon to stay, No In My Opinion but the Hornets have the 10th pick in the draft to fill their need at Sg if he’s not open to resign in NO.LA, luckily if he bolts or only elects to sign the Qualifying Offer the Hornets will have 2 to 3 Sg’s with some potential with The T’Wolves pick later on that night, Drummond will provide the Hornets a potential franchise Big somewhere in the Amare/Howard mold, the worst he’ll be is what Derrick Favors looks like today, which wouldn’t be bad at all in My honest Opinion
All 3 of these Teams leap frog other teams to get inside the Top 3, Detroit would ge biggest leap but not one that would be questioned with the Bulls winning not too long ago, The Kings also have a high chance at winning the lottery so them getting the 2nd pick isn’t out of the realm of possibility as they have only move up 3 spots, The Hornets move up one spot so their would be no problems with them as well, the biggest loser would be The Bobcats who would be locked in at 4th, I’ll give you guys picks 4 through 10 when I get some positive feed back from this Mock from a Mad Man

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantThe Bobcats would be the biggest loser of the top 5 because they fall from the 1st spot to 4th, a huge drop off in talent from potentially drafting Anthony Davis and safely selecting Harrison Barnes
In all reality this is a move Charlote fans should be able to swallow, sure losing the Anthony Davis sweepstakes sucks but someone has too, and the Bobcats have a 75% shot at losing the 1st Pick so it’s something they’ll have to brace themselves for
Harrison Barnes would provide them a UNC star prospect for Joradn and The Coaching staff to mold into an All Star, if he sniffs the Luol Deng/Rudy Gay/Danny Granger All Star potential he’ll be a fine pick by a GM that drafed Kwame and Adam Morrison
I feel like Barnes will be a tier below the All Star Level Sf’s but will be a long time NBA starter in the mold of Sean Elliot(pre injury/decease)
This is a safe pick all means but a pick the GM and Ownership have to make in this scenario, they couldn’t afford a flat out Bust so risky picks like Perry Jones would not fly, if any took a Gamble with the 4th pick it would be Micheal Jordan, but I feel he’s been grouded a bit by the harse financial realities of owning a Team and trying to draft your way out of NBA purgatory, a guy like Perry Jones,Jeremy Lamb or Brad Beal should be the pick here, but The Bobcats might have to draft The local product and safe beat to feel a need at Sg/Sf, Barnes is the guy for Charlote in my Stern for Day Draft…
