Then at least 7 teams screwed up.  Only possible better prospects IMO are Andre Drummond and Sullinger, I mean possibly barnes but I would take Jones if I had a choice between the two.

Well Perry Jones is very good and has a great upside but Anthony Davis is also better than him aswell. Also he could be ranked 10th because of the fact that they dont where hes game translates at the next level in terms of were he will play,in addition he might be ranked tebth because of his college season last year which didnt end good.I would have put him around 4-7 on my list around there.

No it just means that a team didn’t fall in love with his potential and didn’t want to have Anthony Randolph 2,0. Many teams don’t want a combo 4/3 and i’d rather have Mcadoo over Jones.

I really think this season determines all for Jones.  If he has a great year he could go as high as number 2, a very dissappointing year and hes down in the late lottery.  Until we see how he does next season, I don’t think we can really make conclusions about where he should be picked.

10th is rather low for a player who put up 13 and 8 as a freshman playing with a gunner at the 2 and a inconsistent pg. If he has a sophmore year like blake griffin he could be number 1.

What exactly has Mcadoo proven thus far though?

I think you should wait until about half way into the collegiate season before declraing guys better thsn others, I mean right now anyone in the top 8 can slip out with a bad season and any unknown who has a really good season can climb up and take someones spot. It’s still too early to tell.

I agree with above ^^^ that it’s way too early to tell. A lot of scouting reports felt he was immature and lacked a good work ethic, and I think by him returning to school that says he’s somewhat mature and wants to improve his work ethic – the guy could have been top 3, maybe higher if he did well in workouts in the 2011 draft, so by going back to school, that says a bit about how he values basketball over just grabbing some quick cash – albeit the lockout is still in place and looks to be for quite some time.

He should not go 10. He is only going to get better with another year and I would have taken him 1st in this last draft.I am thinking like jaysmith on this one too. He played with Lacedarius who is a jacker and had no one on his team who could feed the post or find open runners on the brake.

The problem with Jones is you can’t name 3 things he even does well. He has elite athleticism and length, but exhibited few basketball skills at Baylor last year. His work ethic is very concerning, in a DX interview he even admitted he took plays off and did not give 100% all the time.  Plenty of pure athletes have crashed and burned in the NBA.
