RUDEBOY_ParticipantBosh has said he doesn’t want to play center..And he stated earlier this season that he feels that he’s a number 1 option..He can’t be that if he goes to Miami or Cleveland..Miami would have only have 3 players under contract if Wade resigns ..So they’re be scrambling trying to find pieces for their roster..More then any other free agent this summer..Bosh seem to be loving all the attention..With the Knicks signing Amare it appears his chance of playing in New York is now out of the question..Going to the Nets will give him the chance to be the man..Maybe the Raptors will send him to the Nets for the rights to Favors and a few draft picks..Bosh will have an allstar caliber center in Lopez & an allstar guard in Devin Harris..And solid role players in Terrance Williams & rookie Damion James who i think will be an allstar himself in 3 or 4 years..

RUDEBOY_ParticipantBosh wants his own team..in New Jersey he can be the man..and still have good players around him and he wont have to play center

bobbybParticipantRudeboy.makes so much sense but… there is one big problem, he wants a sign and trade and the Nets have no players left to trade. B/C if they did a sign and trade the raptors would want harris, t-will and draft pics. So then this whole great idea doesnt work. It is all about the benjamins, he wont leave money on the table.

nyk92Participanthow can u guys say Bosh would make them a top contender in the East? Bosh couldnt even cary a team to the playoffs that would win more then 12 games without him, how could he bring the NETS to a top contention in the East, NJ needs ALOT of help and getting just bosh wont do it. with bosh i say they make the playoffs and thats it

McWinningParticipantActually if Bosh wanted to go to New Jersey they wouldnt get much at all.
He could sign rightout if he wanted, theyd be luck to get T-will, or Favors.

nyk92Participantif bosh is smart, he will go wherever dwayne wade goes, wade has already proven himself as a championship player and can lead a team thru the playoffs, all he needs is that sidekick and bosh would be perfect, miami would be best and maybe they can bring more guys with them….

BDNETSParticipantIf the season started today Miami would forfeit the season. Its hard to build and set things up with not much in place. They have Chalmers and Beasley and are trying to trade Beasley. You need a solid 12 players to win. 3 Studs and 9 pieces of trash won’t get it done because of injuries etc.
Bosh would definantly Shine in Jersey Next to a real center like Lopez. The Celts are getting older. Cleveland is getting older and may be without Lebron. Orlando Needs a REAL power forward. And Atlanta is Atlanta They have seen thier peak. It Gets no better. That’s The Top of the EAST. There are huge question marks everywhere.
And what about chemistry? Its also about what WILL work well together.
The Nets are the only TEAM NOT looking for the NEXT big thing… There are Shadows and benchmarks everywhere but New Jersey. I think Jersey will provide a relaxed atmosphere and fostering winning moving into Brooklyn. Could be the start of a Dynasty. Put the NBA Nets on the MAP and ensure Hall of Fame credentials based on that alone.
Then there is the NEW FACTOR! A NEW NBA Venue in the Prudential Center for 2 years and a BRAND NEW Arena in Brooklyn in 2 Years. That’s exciting.
As for money. He can Sign for 3 years max and then Sign again after that or go elsewhere. Playing in the Tri-State area as compared to Toronto would increase his marketing value. He understands that. We can send them a resigned Josh Boone and 3 Draft Picks for Bosh. That’s a great offer for a team rebuilding.
