Scottoant93ParticipantIf you we’re to become rich, and every single NBA team is for Sale AS-IS of right now. Which team would you buy and Why? Also what type of Owner would you be(would you want to win or just care about the money)?
I would pick the NJ Nets, and I would keep them in jersey. I would spend as much money as possible so we could win a championship.

delfamParticipantprobably the Clippers as I could live in L.A.. Also the fans would treat me like a god for getting Donald Sterling out of there. Oh, and Blake Griffin and Eric Gordon help aswell.

Scottoant93ParticipantI would support your team if you got sterling out, I wonder if his kids are as cheap as him, since im guessing they’ll inherit the team… or will they

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantGet rid of any trace of Glen Taylor/David Kahn stench, hire people that actually know basketball, and try to build a winning culture around K-Love. If only I had hundreds of millions of dollars to throw around…haha

FritzParticipantBut Im pretty sure the Bulls have had the most profitable market out of every team over the past 5 years, if not then definately top 3. They always have full attendance and never go ovcr the luxery tax. And because they are also a good team and have a bright future also, I would choose the Bulls. I feel like they are very profitable and are in the position to contend for future titles.
My other favorites would be to own the Lakers (duh), Clippers or the Thunder.

TallmanNYCParticipantBuy the Knicks (and, if possible, the Ranger and the rest of MSG) and end the Dolan Era travisty. You want to see profit? Put a good product on the floor of MSG and watch the cash registers ring (hell the sell out even when the team was bad).

draftnikParticipantGimme a good half billion, and I’ll buy my Pistons. Keep Joe D, buy out Gordan/Villanueva, build around Monroe, Jerebko, Stuckey, Terrico White, and my lottery pick (Kawhi Leonard), and sign off on reasonable veteran free agent deals. If my talent develop, and if certain teams fall apart, I’ll be hoisting up some titles in the not so distant future.

Raef LaFrentzParticipantI’d take on the difficult task of resurrecting the Minnesota Timberwolves because I am a life-long fan, sadly.

FritzParticipantFeel your pain man I lived in Minnesota for 4 years trying to cheer for that sorry franchise even though they had the Big Ticket at the time, luckily I was born in Chicago who have always been my number one team, Now im in Charlotte with season tickets to the Bobcats…, I dont know much about managing a team, but I do believe I know enough about basketball to do a better job than Michael Jordan has done with the Bobcats, every player I want them to pick they pass on and then that player ends up being much better than the guys we pick up.
Jordan has finally has came to realize that building a team to be a mediocre 8th seed every year takes you no where. Trading for veterans is not a good idea unless your team has what it needs to improve for the future. Thank goodness Jordan realized this and got rid of Wallace before he breaks down although he is by far the city’s favorite player and I wish we could of kept him I would of loved to see his name to be the first Bobcats number retired. But this team needs high draft picks and although I think they should of got some young assets for Wallace they need to start losing before they can start winning.
I would much rather see my team go through a few terrible seasons and wind up with high draft picks for the hope thatt one day the Bobcats can be good rather than mingle in mediocracy for the next 7 years.

Raef LaFrentzParticipantNice man. I was born in Charlotte, so you and I are kind of opposite there.

Scottoant93ParticipantI am suprised that many of you picked teams that are in rebuild mode. I expected more people to bandwagon and go with the heat, lakers, celtics etc

haha it’s probably because most of us would like to build a championship team instead of having one handed to us. It’s more challenging that way. Let’s be honest most of us would be terrible owners; control freaks that would insist on calling the final shots when it comes to front office decisions.
I mean if I owned a team and my GM/coach/scouting staff wanted to draft a player I was convinced would be a bust I would absolutely overrule them.
