For all the guys who know me WHATS UP!!! Been a minute, I’ll chime in a few times here in there to give my 2 cents. Now on to the topic that everyone is tired of and mad about LeBron James. I’m not here to bash the man any deeper than he already is. Just to give insite on the truth about us (the fans), media, and himself.

I actually feel as if LeBron’s a great player. We’ve never seen a guy come into the league like him with the strength, athletic ability, and the overall stat sheet stuffer. He surpassed expectations of being the best high school player ever. When he took his team to the finals by putting them on his back and thrashing the Pistons, I knew for sure he was going to be the Greatest. Then it happened…………

“King James” and “The Chosen One” start to believe in his own hype. Start doing more commercials than jumpshots. More clowning than being serious. YOU the enablers (I’ve always protested against this behavior but just to get labeled as a hater) ALLOWED him to get away with it. You saw the highlights, the sheet stuffing, the physique, and felt like he could do no wrong. He had to be the best. He averaged 25-7-7. That alone made him better than Kobe, right? He made all his teammates better. His 3pt, freethrow, and shooting percentage went up. He alone is the reason his team was the best in the league 2 years running. He didn’t quit Game 6 versus Orlando or during the Celtics series this year. Even though EVERYONE said, “It’s his elbow that’s why he’s playing that way”, but he’s disinterested “because he realizes he doesn’t have a team” “No Delonte is @%#$ his mom”. That’s the issue EVERYONE made an excuse for this grown man whose 8 years into the league now. Dan Gilbert, Cleveland fans, LeBron fans, the media, have all enabled him to do this because you made excuses for him for 7 years straight. No one held this man accountable. So, don’t do it now when you realize how much of a fraud both of you are!!!

For the longest we forgot he played in an inflated system. The pick n roll offense has NEVER won a NBA title. Never!!! He had the ball 90% of the time. Not to mention how every starting SF who plays 30+ min in the league averages 5-7 rebounds a game. Did I say he had the ball 90% of the time? He better average 7 assists if he’s practically playing point all game. Everyone discredit his team, but who else would you put around him? You need shooters at almost every positon. Outside of Mo Will what other starting PG can hit that 3 point that’s better than him? Now how many can gaurd their postion? Maybe D-Will? Mo Will was perfect for a LeBron James system. I wanted Cleveland to get Amare so bad because it wouldn’t be any excuses, but they went out and got a better fit in Jamison. Why? Because Jamison could spread the floor FURTHER out than Amare so LBJ can wreck in the paint. (I’m sorry Bosh nor Amare can stop KG so that’s a wash too, I know what you were thinking!!! ;0 )…

The guy is 6’8, 260 pounds. Quick as a cat and strong as an ox, but has NO POST GAME after 7 years in the league. NO MID-RANGE game after 7 years in the league. The only thing he has done was improve on what he was already able to do. He has yet to add anything to his game, but hussle on the defensive end. This is the man y’all call the best? He CLEARLY lacks work ethic and you gave him the crown over someone who bust his behind every summer to become the best? That’s what seperate the greatest players from great players. I used to be the biggest A.I. fan, but then I realized I bust my a$% in school and this guy can’t even add anything to his game (or let alone attend practice). For everything you guys do to improve yourself in your profession or the school your attending, NO ONE expected the same from the guy your glorifying to be the best?

I’ve always loved LeBron’s game, but hated his work ethic on being the best. I’ve always wanted him to take advantage of his God giving talents and become better than Jordan. BUT he chose SOUTH BEACH. He chose South beach over being the greatest to ever play the game. The hell with Cleveland, the owner, and the rest of the fans who feel he had an obligation to them, after they enabled him to do whatever he wanted to do. The “I spoiled people with my play” ego don’t bother me as much as his content on being submissive and not gunning for the #1 spot. Im sorry bring up the Bird, Magic, Kobe played with great players too, argument. THEY WERE DRAFTED THERE!!! Not one CHOSE to go to another great player’s team. In fact Kobe broke up with Shaq to prove he could win it all without him. Its NOT the same the “Chosen One” chose not to be the best!!!

Then it hit me… We are all wrong… Me too!!! He never WANTED to be the best NEVER!!! We always seen it in his game. Remember the passing of the last shots? The quitting on the team? The lack of gym time in the summer? He’s never wanted to be the man, just paid like one!!! “Its a business first”. We had all these expectations for this man and he never wanted it. That’s why it shouldn’t surprise anyone he chose Miami over Chicago (the statue out in front cast too high of a shadow) or Cleveland he doesn’t want to put the team on his back. He wants to be the sidekick. Always have. and Always will.

I don’t have a problem with him going to Miami now because I now realize he wants to be submissive. I just only wish he wouldn’t embraced the role of being the “Chosen One” and left that to the “Real Deal” Kevin Durant!!!

    Just my 2…………………………

Pretty good stuff. All of us basketball fans were duped when he came into the league. We saw his unbelievable talents and abilities and were ready to annoint him the next MJ because we all wanted him to be. And then he had his 2007 Eastern Conference Finals Game 5 performance and we all believed even more.

But being GOAT isn’t important to LeBron as evidenced by this joining up with Wade and Bosh. All he cares about is winning championships and that’s not a bad thing and based off of that he made the smartest move possible. He doesn’t want to be the greatest of all-time and now he won’t be. It’s as simple as that.

LEBRON JAMES: Every single night there’s times where you have to take shots, contest the shots that now we don’t have to take. So you can look at it and say that the number’s going to go down or we can’t play our same game, but I don’t buy that. I don’t buy it at all.
I think what’s going to be the best for us is now the pressure of making every shot or shooting a high percentage just for our team to win is not a big deal anymore.”

You look at Game 7 of the Finals between the Lakers and the Celtics. Kobe Bryant shot 6 for 24 from the field and they still won, because he knew he had help and guys came through for him.
It’s been a long time. And I can say all three of us, if we shot 6 for 24 from the field, we still believe we can win a basketball game.

He didn’t say LeBron didn’t have work ethic. He’s basically saying LeBron doesn’t have the work ethic to be the greatest. He’s content with what he’s already able to do.

actually the lakers were able to overcome kobe’s 6-24 in game 7 becasue both teams played like dog sh.it.

There are a lot of things said about lebron that i think is people kicking a man when he is down. However, i never in a million years would have imagined him joining dwayne wade. The truly great athletes who leave their mark in any sport have a level of selfishness that they want to be the man and they will always want to beat the competition, not join it. Kobe has this mental edge on lebron hands down. But if lebron wins multiple championships, people will start showing him more love.

Yeah, the he is hurting his legacy already talk to me is Bull. Let’s see what Lebron does when his career is over and then we can judge. I don’t think he’ll be the greatest ever, I still think Kobe will be ahead of him, but Lebron will go down as the player with the most hype ever. No player will ever have the hype Lebron had when he was 17.

Its not about Kobe… Its not… JOINING Wade and the bandwagon is not the same situation as Kobe… Jordan also shot 6-21 in a game and won… Is that the same team? Lol… EXCUSES once again…

He definitely does not have the work ethic to be the greatest, maybe that will come, maybe not. I remember a time when Kobe gave up and refused to shoot the ball, I believe it was against Sacramento in the early part of the decade, and he turned around and has worked harder than any player in the game to get what he has accomplished.

I personally do not see LeBron having that kind of drive to be the best player, it’s only been proven more by deciding to jump ship and make it to where he doesn’t have to carry the load. I don’t fault him for his choice, it’s his life, but no more ‘chosen one’ talk. No more King James, if anything, by going to D. Wade’s team, maybe he should be anointed a new moniker “Prince James”.

He’s still extremely young, and very-very talented, and can easily go down as one of the greatest, but in my eyes, he will never come close to ‘the greatest’. The only person close to MJ on that one is Kobe…

Everyone is rooting against the Heat true… BUT if they win??? Its expected. You SHOULD win with that team… Especially if they are who people say they are. No one is going to appreciate that team no matter how many championships they win. Thats the issue. Lets say they win 82 games this season will it mean more than Jordan’s 72? Or win 7 rings will it MEAN more than Jordan’s 6? If so Bill Russell has 11… No one said he was the greatest ever… True his career isn’t over, BUT his legacy as the greatest IS. Sorry….

If they won 82 games next year n blow out teams in the playoffs, would you continue to watch the NBA?

And Team LeBron… Tracy was a great offensive talent… Don’t know if his injuries were severe or not… All I know is he’s out of a job now, I don’t see anyone playing hurt to NOT get paid… But who knows? I don’t hate LeBron… Never said that… But as I can see another fan that can’t see the light even if GOD himself shined it on you.

I don’t get what you asking me then?

If you look at the end of my peice (lol art) I said I understand now. He doesn’t want to be the best which is understandable. Sooooooooo, now the best move for him is Miami. He doesn’t have to work hard to win games, can take games off if he wanted to, and collected rings. He’s in Miami where he can have fun with the women, millions of dollars, and parties… Honestly, from a business stand point it was his smartest move as of yet. The only thing I wish he could of did better was NOT embrace the best talks n Chosen One. And “the Desicion” was by far the worst thing done in sports history as far as arrogance.

I don’t think the best fit for him was Miami to be honest. I think it was Chicago or NY.

I agree with alot of this stuff except for a couple things.

Mo Williams was perfect for CLE’s team but CLE took a flyer on him. Prior to CLE, he was just someone who got scoring chances due to a injured Micheal Redd. He was never a good defender and was streaky before he went to the Cavs. I think they expected him ( Like Larry Hughes) to be better next to LeBron and it backfired.

I also think were not giving Cleveland too much press. They made TONS of mistakes that cost them LeBron James in my eyes.

I think the Mike Brown hiring was terrible. Then and Now. You have a superstar player, you cannot just get a no name coach.

I think the fact that they Did not trade Wally’s 13 million dollar contract in 08-09. They needed a post player and didn’t do it.

Taking Ben Wallace’s deal and then moving him for Shaq? I didn’t understand it then.

70 million for Larry Hughes? In 2005? Come on. With players like Tyson Chandler and Gerald Wallace. I felt you could have gotten both for a combined 70 mil in 2005. Even if you couldn’t, I would have grabbed one of them and split the money between pieces instead of thinking Hughes was the missing link

Not giving up J.J. Hickson in the Amare deal. I agree, that was greedy thinking Hickson wasn’t worth Amare.

Not going after Stephen Jackson. They had the pieces to get him but didn’t.

THIS IS NEW BUT I’M THROWING IT IN- WHY DIDN’T CLEVELAND GET AL JEFFERSON?

    NBA Draft blunders

Giving up a 1st round pick for Jiri Welsch. They gave up a 2007 1st rounder. Could have picked a Rudy Fernandez or even a Marc Gasol.

Luke Jackson 10th in 2004. It’s not a big deal now but Andries Biendrens went right after that.

Christian Eyenga 30th last year. Marcus Thornton was the best player on the board at the wing spot. It made ALL the sense to take a shooter like him.

I don’t get why people always say: He’s in the league for 6-7 years now and he doesn’t have this and that. It’s the same with Dwight Howard. Wow, he’s so long in the league and he doesn’t even have reliable go to post move. First of all I think he has a jumper and a three point shot. I mean if he would take only open shots, he would probably shoot over 40% from the 3pt line, but he takes a lot of those pull up threes, that’s why it’s lower. Sure he’s no Kobe yet, but 5 years ago Kobe’s three wasn’t as consistent as it is now, same for Jordan. Stop saying he doesn’t have a jumper. Tony Allen, Varejao and Shaq don’t have jumpers. He has a good jumper. Still no Dirk or Kobe jumper, but a good jumper for a 25 year old.

I mean Lebron is know one of the top defenders. Look at how he crushed Pierce one of the top SFs in the league. I think that’s a pretty nice development. Same for Howard. Although people always say that he has no offensive game, no post move. He came to the league, he wasn’t much of a defensive player, now he is by far the best center and the most dominant defense presense in the league. And he gets 20ppg 14rpg and 2,5 bpg every night, although he has “no offensive” game at all. He didn’t have that in him when he came to the league, but he trained with Patrick Ewing to become the defensive presense he is. I don’t think it is much different with LBJ. I also think that if Miami has the best record and Spoelstra finally plays him at the 1 and gives him the ball, he will be the MVP again although Wade is probably the top scorer of that squad. And I don’t get what’s wrong with being a pass first guy. I think if Kobe would have decided to pass the ball a few times more when he was triple team crowded the Lakers might have won one or two games more in their past. Not in the last year though, he hit everything.

I agree though, that if he won one for Cleveland it would have been very special.

I am confused, people say it is truly being a man to want to carry a team but to me that means being a man must be stupid why work harder when you can work smarter. I think people feel like if he had to carry a team he would work harder but why can’t he team up with good players and still work hard.

How many of you care what Lebron thinks of you so why should Lebron care what we think about him.

Right now you guys are giving Lebron the attentions he craves so much.

There is a thin line between love and hate.

There are millionaires that may not have worked as hard but worked smarter and then you have men who are barely making it who worked really hard and that is their only comfort because they chose to work hard by doing something simple rather than be smart plan and not have to work as hard. It is good to work hard but not everybody wants to sacrifice living a great life just to be the harderst worker.

There has to be a balance.

It may sound lazy but if you are working hard and playing hard as your balance is that not better than working all time and not enjoying your life.

There comes a point where no matter how hard you work you achieve the same as the guy that worked 80 percent of what you did.

Kobe works really hard yet he has yet to turn that hard work into him shooting over 60 percent. I love the fact that he has all those moves but my thing is and I am a Kobe fans saying this, sometimes he works hards at scoring and it hurts his team and it is only when he does less and plays balance that he gets the most success.

    Same thing with Jordan.

He had to learn how to play within the team concept to win.

He hard work made him think he did it by himself but he didn’t

He was a key piece but he was not the only piece and Jordan as great as he is is not a balance individual

A couple of things… Classic example of what if….

First off, who was going to take Wally’s contract at the time and GIVE up a great player (because it seems thats the only thing you want)? Plus why not use the added cap space for yourself?

Larry Hughes and Donyell Marshall… LeBron needed another 20 point scorer at the time and a shooter at the 4 to spread the floor… If you look at they way they play or LeBron’s game that’s all you can put around him… Its no way you believe Gerald Wallace would be a good fit? In 2005? Stop speaking about TODAY son… Larry Hughes just came off a season where he was a defensive stopper, 20 point scorer, and leading the NBA in steals. The only players that the Cavs (in my opinion) the Cavs should have gotten was Redd and Curry (but you see how they turned out).

You traded Ben Wallace who couldn’t gaurd Howard for Shaq 1 year contract who just came off a 17 n 8 season and you think that’s a dumb move? Hmmmmmmm…

I thought the Amare deal was stupid to a certain degree… But it wasn’t for sure Amare was going to stay and LeBron was going to do the same… Plus Amare plays NO D and don’t rebound. Why trade away a potential stud for him?
J.J. is athletic and play a similar game. And Amare going to NYK after he was just in the Western Conference finals tells you where his head is…

Stephen Jackson? Really? Why would you do all the if you are coming off a 66 and currently
the BEST team in the NBA? Why are you making all those roster moves in one season and you are the best team in the NBA?

    Yall are CRAZY son…

The draft picks… ITS NOT A KNOWN FACT WHAT PLAYERS ARE GOING TO DO!!! If it was Jordan would have won 6 rings for Houston or the Blazers…

The Cavs did everything possible to surround LBJ with players to fit his game, for they were living for right now… I tip my hat off to Danny Ferry for doing that… The only problem I had was keeping Mike Brown that long… I agree to that…

Lebron= Shaq at guard + work ethic

    he’s not a 6’6 shooting guard,

but he is one of the all-time greats no matter which way you look at it.

    Lets be Honest..
In Cleveland he was a one man show, the supporting cast have to shoulder as much blame as he did if not more…
