Snatalini247ParticipantFor drafting both Flynn and Rubio back to back. This man is a moron. Wasting one if not both of their potential. If Rubio stays him and Flynn will most likely split time and I doubt either of them will be able to fully develop. Im hoping he trades away Rubio to the Knicks or a team were he will be able to be the starter so Flynn can blossom for the Timberwolves. He is an arrogant man wasting two years of Rubios career because its obvious that Rubio does not want to play for the Timberwolves and he just has to be an idiot and not trade him which would be better for both clubs since Rubio is so sought after. With this guy running the show I feel bad for the Timberwolves. Hes basically the Josh Mcdaniels of the NBA. I feel really really bad for T-Wolves fans.

auberParticipantAt this rate Minnesota will have maybe 4 fans going into next season. I just ship last year when they traded Mayo. That was just the final straw for me and since then I’ve been a Memphis Grizzlies fan.

tonyl33ParticipantI personnally think he is doing a good job. He’s look at it in the long run point of view. He’s not thinking about winning now, he’s think in 2 -3 years they’ll have a team to win it all. What is the worst case scenerio? He has two point guards and they both become a bust? People are comparing Flynn to CP3 and Rubio the next big thing. What’s wrong with have two players like that? He’s going to get so much for Rubio when he trades Rubio because the demand is so high right now. He drafted his future point guard this year and he still has 3 first round picks for next year. I consider that a great move.

JNixonParticipantTrading Brandon Roy for Randy Foye.

bobbygillerKahn didnt trade Roy for Foye. Kahn has only been in control for a few weeks, Mchale pulled off that brilliant trade

JNixonParticipantIt was just a bad trade by the T’Wolves old regime worth mentioning

no1Participantthe josh mcdaniels of the nba lol thats going a lil far. mcdaniels traded away a top 5 QB and has pretty much ticked off the top 5 WR in the nfl. Albeit it was a stupid move drafting rubio and flynn.

Meditated StatesParticipantI understand he is holding him for ransom. What if Rubio does not show the improvement over the next year or two. His value will go down. If he is going to trade him he needs to get it done now. His move is risky it is only smart if he gets a huge piece b4 the start of the season. I would not be happy with him running my team if he does not make a trade to put them in the playoffs next year. He better make the right move his job should depend on it.

Rubio is a beastParticipantIs this the first time in a sport that you have thought “why did they do that? That makes no sense.” And has their ever been a time when you thought that and it was actually a GOOD decision? Let if play out. Kahn says he wants Flynn as a 2 guard. People think he’s an idiot. If hes right, then it would be a great move. Hes been better than Mchale. Which isnt saying much. And if they have only 4 fans, then im one of them

Stanford hoopsParticipantthats funny you say ruining rubios career and wasting his career like he owes it too him…its a buisness and the players hold the teams for ransom all the time and try to dictate where they will be drafted sometimes so i have zero smpathy for rubio what so ever. i say have them both come to training camp and just play it out to decide who should stay and who should go…whats funny is this would have been the same situation if portland would have drafted micheal jordan when they already had clyde drexler…i think this was a pretty smart move because now they could trade rubio for a coupel of better players

MattissickParticipantHe’s not an idiot. He can get a great deal because lots of people want Rubio and someone will give way too much for him (like an average player ha). Flynn will be a good point guard for them. They had a plan and it will work out for them.

bluedevils12Participanti think about it the more i think this guy is the next sam presti(gm of the thunder). it was smart of him 2 draft both even though at the time i was pissed off. i personally think he should have picked steph instead of flynn but watever. what he did was pick the 2 best point guards in a weak draft and will keep one and use the other as trade bait. he can possibly get a position of need now . very smart
