Michael.S.ParticipantGo on tell me he ain’t real, ive been waiting all summer to prove the haters and doubters…………he is the real deal.19points 5assists 3ribbies 2steals AND the Game Winning “J” IN HIS DEBUT.

gatorheelsParticipantWall really wasn’t that impressive to be honest. He was out of control a lot of times. It is just one game though, he will play better. People will see the box score and see the highlights of him hitting the game winning shot. They will think Wall played awesome because of this, but in reality this was a mediocre effort on Walls part.

tuck243ParticipantI’m a fan of John Wall but that game was so SLOPPY. He had a decent game versus Miami of Ohio man… Calm down… That game showed alot of his flaws… Half the time his teammates didn’t know where to go on the court… He was just as lost without the ball… IDK if I would be hollering and hooting about his play today… He and UK got alot of work to do….

Michael.S.ParticipantI watched on Atdhe.net, I dont care how shitty you play you get the win, but to be the #1 recruit miss the first 2 games come in and nail a game winner after a tough night in your debut, you have to be the real deal, plus Ive been saying so since forever.

butidonthavemoneyWhy doesn’t he cut more? Is it because his teammates are post orientated? He only cuts when he has the ball.

Michael.S.ParticipantHehehehe, these forums are pretty suckish, alls the people who gave me negatives, Why? Don’t have a sense of humor? Well grow one.

butidonthavemoneyI gave you a negative. I guess it’s because I don’t have a sense of humor.
Take that.

JNixonParticipantYea he did play OK, he’s turnover prone and he’ll force drives and passes, but he’s obviously a gifted athlete and he has alot of skills that are getting better. I think he’s so physically gifted that he’ll be able to play great in games without having to put his skills out there to the fullest. But that’s only going to get you so far, so he has to continue to get better. But I think he will

0 - Posted on: Mon, 11/16/2009 - 4:58pm #230497
quincey hodgesprobably because he didnt play that great ..he played ok..got to the foul line which was good..i think he might have lost post because you said his jumper is a threat now. not sure how you came to that conclusion if you watched the game…plus you didnt mention the turnovers. i have to say i was more impressed by alot with henry then with wall. even though neither played against good teams
0 - Posted on: Mon, 11/16/2009 - 5:01pm #230498
Michael.S.ParticipantOk, then. I need to hop off I guess.
But seriously, He was 1-2 from 3 and made a couple J’s, including a pull up G-W-, plus his free-throw shooting isn’t half bad either. He has a better J then anyone would expect.

QHaynes20lol…one game my man.
Wanna see him against the UNC’s and Kansas’ off the world 1st.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 11/16/2009 - 5:05pm #230501
quincey hodgesi expected his free throw shooting to be good…i didnt expect for him to get his shot blocked by a guy whos way less athletic and shorter then him….i mean dont get me wrong he played pretty well but he was dominate like some suggested he would be from day one and this was against guard who probably wont play past college. its gonna be interesting against a better team..wall looks like a scoring guard.play alot less like rose then i thought…was impressed by patterson though
0 - Posted on: Mon, 11/16/2009 - 5:05pm #230502

tuck243ParticipantWall and Blesoe should have had 10 turnovers a piece… They got bailed out alot…
0 - Posted on: Mon, 11/16/2009 - 5:09pm #230506
quincey hodgesyou saw that too tuck..hopefully coach cal gets wall to learn to play more of a half court game since thats been his one weakness through hs. i think he will settle down as the season goes on though. still think hes talented but this wasnt a game where i came away thinking “wow did you see that performance”
0 - Posted on: Mon, 11/16/2009 - 5:29pm #230522

butidonthavemoneyYes. Sorry, broseph. Just let up a bit.

lalailaParticipantso yeah he wasn’t unstoppable but he shows taht he is going to be really good, this just first his game however and numbers don’t lie with out turnovers he was pretty cool, especially that he had some threes and jumpers.
So Wall not the bust, nor is Favors IMO…Henry started his road to top10 in mocks….just waiting another my favourite draftee Renardo

TheAlchemistMikenike, give it a rest. Your so unfunny it’s unbelievable. Stop trying to sound like a gangster when you’re a 16 year old high school nerd.
Anyway, give Wall a break. He puts up decent numbers and peole are still after his guts. He did okay, it’s not like this one game will mean that much anyway. It’s against the big teams – Duke, Michigan State, UNC, Villanova – where his performances should be judged.

quincey hodgeswhy is it that people get so hurt when someone is critical about a player that they love?…honestly he played pretty well..not great as some suggested but not bad either. some people are critical because some of ya’ll put unreal expectations like first team all american and dominate from jump and best passer in college..yes hes good and has alot of potenial but there are better college players at his position which is normal when you are only a freshman, even if he has more future potential then these other pg/players.

RUDEBOYYes ..U can see he’s going to be something special once he works on the holes in his game..And surprisingly for someone just coming out of high school isn’t to bad…UK looked lost in that game… I saw them play a preseason game about 2 weeks ago their precision was so crisp & on point..That they looked like the best team in the nation…

quincey hodgesyeah thats what happens when you play against division 2 teams and the low of the low..you usually look very very good
