TimbosliceParticipantGet a ball and some shoes… Headband if that’s your thing, go find a court with people that are better than you and play. You’ll get better in more ways than you mentioned

MagikKnickParticipantAs far as ball handling, just try different dribble moves, constantly
The key to basketball is repetition, I used to suck at ball handling too, just kept working on my handle, dribbling the ball constantly, right hand, left hand, just get as familar with the ball as possible..
As far as the other 2, i’d love to help, but i suck at them too, lmao

kurtu17ParticipantSomeone with handles has told me the way to improve ball handling..im sure there is more then just one way… is to stand still bend your knees with your back straight like you would normally dribble and with your left hand dribble as hard as you can but without loosing the ball and dont let the ball bounce high past your knees or in that range…and try to do this without loosing control …and dribble it with just one hand 100 time then switch hands to your right hand and do the same…then use both hand passing it to eachother 100 times…then do it between your legs.. and then start do the same while moving….
I hope i explained this clearly…im sure you will see improvements in a week…just remember dribble low..and practice hard with your off hand

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantIn my opinion, passing is more a sense of judgement. You know when somebody is open and you need to be able to make the right pass. I’m not sure someone can teach you how to become a better passer, it’s something that comes naturally.
As far as the other two, like the others have said, ball handling drills help you. I used to have the same problems and I would go to the gym every morning at 5am and dribble. Crossover dribbles from one side of the court to the other. Sprinting with the ball on your off hand. Sitting down and taking quick dribbles and switching hands. Anything.
Footspeed is one that I think would be a bit simpler. You can always use ankle weights while doing your dribbles. You’ll work out your legs and do your ball handling skills. You’ll kill two stones with one bird. Once you take off the ankle weights, you’ll feel a lot quicker. Although I have heard they are bad for your knees and joints, that’s the reason I stopped using them during rigorous activities such as sprinting.
Wonder if anybody finds the mistake.

MagikKnickParticipantYou’ll kill two stones with one bird <—The 'mistake?'
Sprinting with the ball on your off hand <—Best Drill Ever
Sprinting w/ the ball, off or dominant hand is a great drill, sure you'll lose the ball multiple times, but you'll eventually be able to do numerous laps without giving up the ball, and when you get back into game action, dribbling will seem so effortless

Chilbert arenasParticipantTo be a good passer you first have to be an offensive threat then just pay attention to your peripheral vision. Work on your dribbling without looking down and use your finger tips. (Scott Skiles dad used to have him wear white gloves outside to make sure he wasn’t dribbling with his palms.) Foot speed can be addressed with a series of drills like the pro agility drill and using a ladder.

Tim49461ParticipantCheck this out Universal i got the hook for ya.
Ballhandling- Before i watched betterbasketball when i was younger, i use to carry a tennis ball everywhere after i heard Nash was doing it at Santa Clara. Then i noticed when i was in the 7th grade pressure got me to big time and even though i was a really good ball handler for my age i would free up.
So i took my skills to the Streets- Literally. I would play chicken with on coming cars ( not very safe and resulted in some basketballs to the windshields but oh well) . Or i would try to do moves on the side of road bringing it to the hand where the car side was as they were coming. Forcing me to keep it in close.
Foot Speed: Look up PlyoCity- I did it my Junior High school. I went from a 4.7 40m to a 4.5 in 6 weeks. Also went from a 28 inch vert to a 36. It helps but just keep in mind you get what you put in. If you do it half a$$ you get half A$$ results.
Passing- Take Geometry in highschool. understand angles and understand different types of english you put on a ball. I also improved my vision my increasing my awareness. Try to notice everything around you as you walk from now. it will translate on to the court better then you think.
Hope it helps buddy

HaleParticipantA great way to gain speed (and vert) quick that 90% of people don’t know about is dorsiflexion.

HaleParticipantWhen you run and lock your ankles and lift your toes off the ground. You want to jump off the balls of your feet and not let your toes touch the ground (slows momentum).

JJeff6ParticipantDo it classic. Set up obstacles in the backyard and dribble around them at a game speed and act as if they are defenders. Or get a friend and constantly have him defend you until you feel comfortable, cuz if you wanna be a slasher you gotta take maybe 2 or 3 dribbles past a defender without getting stripped. Then for passing, use the obstacles again. Throw passes at all angles at them and go at a game speed and try to pretend you hitting an open wing player for the j. Constant reps work bro haha
