If the Knicks have any chance of landing Ricky Rubio, they would have to fill the two biggest glaring holes the Timberwolves have, which is at center and shooting guard…I think they should send Larry Hughes, Eddy Curry, Toney Douglas, Joe Crawford, and a future second round pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves, for Ricky Rubio, Mark Blount, Chucky Atkins, Damien Wilkins, and Brian Cardinal…Financially the deal matches up perfectly and I feel the Timberwolves get back equal value for a # 5 pick, and possibly a franchise player…Perfect deal in my eyes…The Wolves featuring Eddy Curry, Al Jefferson, Corey Brewer, Larry Hughes, Jonny Flynn, and Kevin Love, as a sixth man, with other bench players such as Toney Douglas, Ryan Hollins, Wayne Ellington, and etc, would give the Wolves a much more well rounded team than last year…As for the Knicks, with Rubio, Jordan Hill, Gallanari, and Chandler, they have 4 young building blocks for the future, something they haven’t had in a while, pieces to build with.

Minnesota isn’t going to do that deal. All they get is basically toney douglas & a 2nd round pick for Rubio….that isn’t a good deal. Larry Hughes offers no value….the TWolves are young & want to stay that way. If Minnesota adds a veteran he is going to be a difference maker which Hughes isn’t. Also Eddy Curry is not a starting caliber center right now….plus he takes up a huge chunk of money that Minnesota is planning on spending in 2010 free agency. Minnesota would be giving away a lot of expiring contracts & Rubio for a bunch of junk.

As a Knick fan I woudn’t mind that trade. I think W. Chandler would have to be part of any deal for Rubio though. And I’m iffy on that. No matter what, Rubio doesn’t fit with the personnel in Minny. To maximize his potential, he needs to be surrounded by athletic wings that run and play above the rim and a good spot shooter. Minny isn’t built like that. If Curry proves to be healthy, he and Jefferson could compliment each other. Curry needs to play with a PF who rebounds real good, block shots and can hit the J from 15-17 feet. Jefferson is that type. Jefferson needs to play most of the time at PF. He is listed at 6’10 but they say he is closer to 6’9.

Maybe a trade of Blount, Cardinal, Brewer and Rubio for Chandler, Curry, Douglas, 2nd Rounder and Mobley (Mobley contract is insured and covered for about 7 mil of his contract)

I’m still not sure if I would give up Chandler though, unless I know Rubio can play in the NBA this year.

I have never seen you post before, but I am glad somebody gets it. To get the best out of Rubio he needs athletes. I thought about that before he got over here and then he gets drafted by probably the least athletic team in the NBA.

The trade is horrible though. I think Chandler will have to be in the deal if they want to make the trade. He is the only player that has any real value, potential and that has a good contract on that Knicks team.

I dont see that deal happening but I could see the Knicks trading a future unprotected first rounder and 2 2nd rounders for Rubio with maybe extra people in it to make the deal work. I hope Knicks get Sessions. I like Rubio but Session is ready now. Knicks unless they can add another team do not have enough for Rubio unless Minnnesota is just that stupid which is debateable. Nate Robinson is too much like Fynn but can not run the point. Love to me is better than Lee and has more promise.Chandler potential is too limited to be equal value even though he is a solid player. Now if Knicks make this trade and move Lee and Robinson and get some player from another team that Minnesota could use than it could happen. Like say Sac is involved and Sac gets Robinson and Lee and gives up Rodriegas and Thompson. I know people say Sac likes Thompson but the thing is both he and Hawes are too similiear players. Lee would give them a more rugged type player to go with Hawes finesse game. This is just an example but the point is unless Knicks move Lee and Robinson to another team for part Minnesota wants they have no deal unless Minnesota is stupid and hmm mabye.

Now I’m pissed, at QHaynes20 & especially at blazerheadfreak2.0…First off all, there are rumors swirling around that the Timberwolves are trying to trade Rubio to the Knicks, so I thought of a trade basketball wise and financially that would work…I don’t see no f#cking problem with this deal, it’s not like this is a crazy f#cking deal…When the Grizzles traded Pau Gasol for basically nothing, that was a dumb f#cking deal…This deal is equal in value u peon, (blazerheadfreak2.0), and for your information, I never knew a dumb person, is in college and is close to earning a degree…And I never put on silly s#it, ya mother put out silly s#it when she gave birth to u b#tch

Haha….yeah don that deal wasn’t that bad IMO…I just don’t think Minnesota would be interested in Curry & his ugly contract. You never know though…teams do stupid moves all the time.

Dont be pissed at me man. I was asking a serious question. Why everytime I see you post…it’s a trade deal? I like the way u explain the deals you make but they all seem unlikely due to amount of players.

no disrespect to you man and Im sorry it came off like that. I just know you know ball and I wanna see you discuss ball more rather then make deals.

This Deal is well thought out but not going to suffice for the T-wolves ……..My trade i posted yesterday i think is a pretty realistic trade and might as well go down . Just to show “DON”

It was a 3 team trade

    Send

    Portland Send – Rudy, Webster
NYK Send – 2nd round pick , David Lee, Chandler
    T-Wolves Send – Rubio

    Recieve

Portland recieve – David Lee , 2nd round pick
    NYK recieves – Rubio Rudy
    T-Wolves Recieve- Webster & Chandler

just why did the wolves drafted two PG’s . they can get 1 PG then curry(i think he’s a 2), deRozan, clark, terrence, henderson.. would have been a lot easier. rubio maybe the best talent in this draft but he’s hard to trade. do they want him? what will they do to flynn? @_@
