The race is wide open this year. Right now I think it is between Kawhi, LeBron, Lillard, Westbrook and Durant with about 5 others being mentionable.

I would appreciate it for you guys to check out my video on it.

Despite his horrid team, he at the VERY least deserves mention. The Pelicans have nothing around him.

I think you’re spot on though: Westbrook, Kawhi, Lillard, Davis, Durant, Lebron in no particular order.

In my video that I linked I mention Anthony Davis as a MVP candidate but believe he is held back by his horrid team

please tell me you did not forget Harden… He is putting monster stats right now and probably will lead the league in assist and could lead the league in PPG.. To me it depends on the records of the Houston and OKC. It’s a race between Westbrook and Harden but if their team can’t win over 45 to 50 games they won’t get it.. It seems like Lebron wants to get Love and Irving going and won’t put that much effort into scoring this year. To me Durant or Curry shouldn’t get it. Lillard maybe if he wins enough games but I also doubt it. Weird race it will be

thinking about it, I think Kawhi Leonard will get the MVP this year.. He’s putting around 30 ppg while playing amazing defense this year and playing for one of the top 3 team in the league.. This kid is amazing, can’t believe I forgot to mention him. He will be the MVP this year and will be a threat for DPOY again this year

Giannis Antetokounmpo is my extreme dark horse. I know it will not happen with the way these guys mentioned above are playing but Giannis has been straight balling and should start getting consideration as a top wing in the game.

    WESTBROOK is my mvp

Honest queston. What is Lillard doing that Harden isn’t? Their teams have identical records so you can’t use the wins argument there. Harden though leads the league in assists while scoring 30 points a game. How is that not Top 5 MVP candidate material??

I think Harden is becoming such a hated figure amongst fans that people start to underrate his abilities. My MVPs will be Lebron, Kawhi, Harden, Westbrook then Durant in that order. Lillard goes 6th and Derozan 7th for me.

Did you forget Chris Paul?  He should be one of the top 3 candidates at the moment.  To me, Harden and CP3 are 1A and 1B.
