Jonas Valanciunas was drafted in 2011 but stayrd in Europe for an extra year so won’t be able to get extension until next year

 I’d say definitely – Irving, Walker, Klay Thompson, Leonard, Faried, Vucevic from the first round guys. Possibly for Tristan Thompson, Kanter, Burks, the Morris twins, Jackson.

With players like Evan Turner being traded away for virtually nothing, teams may look to get a player on a low to middle deal so it gives them good trade value going forward.

Irving already got one, Walker will definitely get an extension (could you say he is the current face of the franchise in Charlotte?), just as Leonard. I can see the Morris Brothers getting an extension, just like Vucevic, Butler, and R. Jackson (can OKC offer him enough though?).

For the rest I see Faried not being extended as he might value himself differently than the Nuggets do. For K. Thompson to get an extension he needs to be traded (or Lee has to be traded), considering GSW already has put a lot of money it other players.

– Knight (although he did worse than expected still a nice piece going forward; he should take garantueed money)
– Shumpert
– T. Harris
– Cole
