SlimParticipantBest depth ever?
With Terry, Erick Dampier, Brendan Haywood and Tim Thomas sidelined for Saturday’s win at Chicago, the Mavericks had only nine healthy players.
That led Nowitzki to make the ultimate proclamation.
“We’re deeper than the team that went to the Finals,” he said, when asked to compare these Mavericks to the 2006 team.
There’s only one problem, he added.
“The league’s also better. The top teams are better. The Lakers have three or four all-stars on their team. The league is a beast.”
Lakers: Bryant, Artest, Gasol (Odom*, Bynum*)
Mavericks: Kidd, Dirk, Marion
Cavaliers: Lebron, Ilgauskas, O’Neal, M. Williams0 - Posted on: Thu, 03/11/2010 - 2:16pm #264927
