IDK if by gym time you mean putting up shots and going through drills or playing against amateurs, but either scenario is the same.  In the NBA, you play against NBA defense and NBA size.  I know plenty of players who can go through drills and pickup games looking like the next Kobe/Wade/Iveson ect., but then you put them up against NBA caliber talent and suddenly they become more than overwhelmed by the transition.

He doesn’t know how to use his god given tools. You’d think that 6’11 230lbs with great athleticism wouldnt just soley rely on 3 point shot, but that’s what he has decided to become, a spot up 3 pointer, and not a good one either, all his other tools such as size and athletecism is wasted. I put him in the same category as Julian Wright, just low BBall IQ and lacks the knowledge to use their physical tools.

anyway, I am beginning to think that guys that dont learn the game well in college and dont work hard on their game when they get to the NBA just dont amount to much more than bench players.  for the most part they work to stay in shape, but working on their game in the off-season, I dont think a lot of those guys do.  some guys even if they did learn a lot in college, they still work on their games to improve.  Greene is in the trend of a lot of young guys today, like Gerald Green for instance.  The talent is never in question, but the development is not there.  There were sooooo many guys that worked hard on their games AFTER they got to the league….like MJ, Bird, Drexler, Hakeem, etc.  If these guys would just take a page from their books.

Like someone stated before, he is just there to make a living being the "Bread Winner" for his family.

My best hope for a guy like him is to try and become a defensive stopper and a knock down shooter who takes good open looks. He could be an outstanding rebounder at the 3 position as well. But i think his ceiling is based  on intangibles rather than being a marquee type guy

Oversized wing with raw scoring tools and good athleticism for his size. Loves the shoot the jumper, and although he has touch and good mechanics, he’s too inconsistent for someone who likes to shoot jumpers alot and can be inefficient. He needs more polish. Plays with a high center of gravity, which hurts him as a shot-creator off the bounce. He’s not as terrible a defender as he used to be, but he’s not great either. Has never had a mid-range game, always long or short range, but mostly long. OK rebounder, but not great at all. Not likely to pass the ball. Low IQ. Could get stronger and tougher.

He’s not a winning basketball player, but he has time to turn things around. Not likely he does, but he has time and enough talent. He has to learn has to play though.
