HoopLandParticipantWhere does he get time at? The two or three, espically with all the returing wing players like Quinn Cook , Matt Jones,Rasheed Sulaimon ,Semi Ojeleye, Grayson Allen coming in. Does he play a Gerald Henderson role?

MalcolmxParticipantI am of the mindframe that if you can play high level defense then you will find some way to get playing time. Defense is winslow’s calling card.

ChewyParticipantis one of the rare schools where you can be a MDAA and still have to "wait your turn."
Obviously, if Parker leaves that helps him. They could go big with Okafor-Jefferson-Winslow, small with Jefferson-Winslow-Sulimon. I think he has the type of game that fits in multiple ways and will be a great "glue guy" for the Blue Devils.

I.C.Y.U.NV.MEParticipantI think he starts on the wing with Sulaimon. Coach K loves defensive players and he can be a good glue guy for them.
Cook
Sulaimon
Winslow
Jefferson (Parker, if he comes back)
Okafor
T. Jones
M. Jones
Plumlee
Olejeye
Allen
Jefferson (If Parker comes back)

Ghost01ParticipantDuke has a very interesting situation on thier hands.
First of all, Tyus Jones is the No.1 PG in the nation…he’s starting, whether its next to Cook or not remains to be seen. If Parker does the right thing and goes pro, I think thier lineup will look something like this:
G T Jones
G Cook
G Suilamon/Winslow
F Jefferson
C Okafor
I think that is probably their top 6, and Coach K is fine with mixing up lineups as the season goes on. I’m not sure out of Matt Jones and Grayson Allen who is better, Plumlee will be 10 minutes a game backing up Okafor, and hopefully Olejeye improves enough to give solid minutes.
The difference of this team being a legit top 3-4 team in the country and being this year’s team again really rests on Tyus Jones to me. Last season, their was way too much Cook and Suilamon dribbling. Now both are upper-classmen, may be the captains, and still won’t be the two best players on this team. But if Jones can take the reigns as the primary ball-handler, and K can actually run offense to feed the big man, they could absolutely be great next year.

I.C.Y.U.NV.MEParticipantI don’t really like 2 pg line ups but it works so well in college. L’ville with Siva and Russ, this years UConn team with Napier and Boatright. It could work, especially with big Okafor in the middle. The only thing is, I think Winslow will start strictly off of his defense. After this past year a guy who can LOCK DOWN has to be a sight for sore eyes for Coach K. If Sulaimon starts with that 2 pg line up its imperative that he get stronger..which I think he needs to do regardless

Ghost01ParticipantThat’s an excellent point, I was just thinking yesterday about what it means that both of the last two champions were lead by super-aggressive guards who hounded the other team and caused a lot of chaos.
Unfortunately for Duke, one of their PGs is Quinn Cook…

I.C.Y.U.NV.MEParticipantAhhh Quinn Cook..pretty much all hope I had in him has been lost. There’s still a little bit because he showed he can play OK defense when he wants to. I just want to know when he decided he was a scoring pg smh. He reminds me of Brandon Jennings in that regard. At Oak Hill, Jennings was seen as someone who could one day lead the league in assist. Well..so much for that. Hopefully Cook steps it up his senior year.

I.C.Y.U.NV.MEParticipantActually, I just thought about it some more..I dont like that 2 pg line up lol
1. Cook is not an efficient scorer. With Tyus at the point, Cook will take every liberty and think he has to lead the team in scoring (kind of like he did this past year but worse), instead of playing as a secondary pg
2. Sulaimon will struggle mightily against opposing 3’s. Bigger guys like UofA’s Hollis Jefferson, UVA’s Justin Anderson, Florida’s Finney Smith, all just examples, could give him fits defensively
