Scottoant93ParticipantNew Orelens relocate Maybe if they’re relocated to NJ or Seattle yes if not no
Amare win the MVP if he keeps at this rate he has a good chance
the league lift the age limit No it gives teams a better chance to evaluate great players from good players to garbage players
the league retire MJ’s # No because then they would have to retire Dr. J, Bill Russel, Wilt Chamberlin etc
Denver trade Melo now or do a sign and trade in the summer Now so they can get something out of him
The thunder trade green No he seems to fit them well
If Boston stay healthy throughout the season, should they win the title They have a good chance
Dallas make it out of the first round Yes if not that would be disappointing
The Finals switch the format to 2-2-1-1-1 No just keep as it is
Chauncey Billups be a HOF He has a chance 80% chance imo
Amare or Durant win the scoring title Durant
Kevin Love be an alll star or Blake Griffin Kevin love rebounding at a monster rate
If Griffin or Wall teams have bad records at the years end, should there be a tie for ROY No im sure Griffin wins based on stats 20-10(impressive for a rookie)
If Harrison Barnes and Kyrie Irving have good Tournament (Conferene and NCAA) play, who goes 1 Depends whos drafting but I would pick Irving at this point
Who wins the Superbowl IDK

HaleParticipantNew Orelens relocate Personally I like them there, but they may have no choice
Amare win the MVP Rose deserves it more imo
the league lift the age limit I like HS players entering so yes
the league retire MJ’s # Yes
Denver trade Melo now or do a sign and trade in the summer Whenever his value is highest
The thunder trade green I don’t think so, unless they can get a good PF in return
If Boston stay healthy throughout the season, should they win the title They can, IDK if they should
Dallas make it out of the first round Yes they should
The Finals switch the format to 2-2-1-1-1 Yes
Chauncey Billups be a HOF No
Amare or Durant win the scoring title I’ll go Durant because he has been cold so far, Amare may challenge him though
Kevin Love be an alll star or Blake Griffin BG
If Griffin or Wall teams have bad records at the years end, should there be a tie for ROY No unless their play is very equal
If Harrison Barnes and Kyrie Irving have good Tournament (Conferene and NCAA) play, who goes 1 I’d rather have Irving but Barnes could move back up to 1
Who wins the Superbowl Hate to say it but it looks like the Pats again

mikeyvthedonParticipantNew Orelens relocate: It depends on the economic feasibility of having a basketball team in New Orleans. I say they will relocate and become the new Seattle Supersonics. Probably in 2012-13.
Amare win the MVP: No. Thus far he is playing great basketball, but their are still better all-around players. Amare’s defense is what keeps him from being a league MVP candidate in my opinion.
the league lift the age limit: I would prefer it didn’t. I have said it many times that while the age limit is not an incredibly fair rule, it is a guilty pleasure of mine. While HS players did not have a high failure rate, it did take them longer to contribute at a high level than if they spent that one year preparing. I think if it were two years players would of course be even better prepared, but currently, it is kind of cool seeing all of the best HS players being in the NCAA, even if it is shortlived.
the league retire MJ’s #: I say yes, and here is my reasoning. Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretzky are somewhat similar in that both played careers that will be nearly impossible to emulate. Gretzky scored at a rate that no one had ever seen in hockey, his records for scoring are out of this world honestly. I also believe he won 9 Hart trophies as league MVP (I went back and looked at MVP’s a long time ago and realized Michael Jordan could have realistically won 9/10). In the same way, Michael Jordan had the greatest individual career in basketball history. I do not think anyone will ever reach his record for PPG (though he almost lost it when he came back with the Wizards), and I just can not imagine a player equalling Michael as having the best career basketball has seen, combining individual and team success. So, I feel retiring 23 would not only be a tribute to the greatest player the NBA has ever seen, but it would almost put to rest the whole next MJ debate. The league will go in a different direction, they do not need a sequel. There will never be another Michael Jordan.
Denver trade Melo now or do a sign and trade in the summer: I think they will trade now as it is in their best interest. Doing a trade during the season will net Denver more than a sign and trade. Too bad for Denver Melo only wants to play for the Knicks, who could afford him as an FA, thus really breaking the Nuggets balls. My guess is Denver may not hate Melo as much as Cleveland hates LeBron, but he will not be a favorite of his soon to be former team.
The thunder trade green: I think they should, I have said this, but I do not think they will. I will be curious to see how they do with him, but I have always been for trading him for more strength on the interior in the form of a more traditional 4/5.
If Boston stay healthy throughout the season, should they win the title: I do not think they should, because I dislike them, but will they? It is a definite possibility. They are deep and talented and play very well together. Plus, if healthy, their front line has some muscle that could really mess with other teams. But, I do not think they win the championship, just my gut feeling.
Dallas make it out of the first round: I think they will. They are the classic regular season warriors who crumble in the play-offs, but if they finish in the top 3 in the West, which they should do once again, they will more than likely not be playing a team that strikes very much fear into you at this point. They got a bad draw against San Antonio, a team that underachieved but was still better than its record. This year, I think Dallas will beat its likely foes of New Orleans or Denver.
The Finals switch the format to 2-2-1-1-1: No. I do not mind 2-3-2, I do not think it is that big of a deal. Still gives a team home court, if anything it gives the players a break from travelling across coast usually.
Chauncey Billups be a HOF: My opinion is that once you have won finals MVP, you should more than likely be in the HOF. His career statistics are nothing spectacular, but he was a great PG for a long time and of course had that incredible streak of making the conference finals. I would say he should be, but I do not think he is a consensus favorite.
Amare or Durant win the scoring title: I think Durant will likely finish with the scoring title once again. I did say Amare would be his closest challenger, but I see Durant likely finishing with a 28-29 average, more than likely a couple points ahead of his next closest challenger. Just the way the league is right now, plus Durant is programmed to score.
Kevin Love be an alll star or Blake Griffin: I think BTPH made a good argument about possibly looking at someone else (and it does not have to be Paul Millsap Tezo, I agree with you there as well). I for one have been much more impressed with Kevin’s season in general, because even though his team is lousy, his rebound numbers are super impressive. Kevin would be rebounding no matter where he went, the guy is a monster and a very smart player. Griffin has been killing it, but I still like Kevin between the two of them to make the ASG. But, I do not think either one is a lock at all, unlike many posters here apparently.
If Griffin or Wall teams have bad records at the years end, should there be a tie for ROY: Why? Both of their teams are bad, but I think the ROY is clearly between those two. Also, I think their will ultimately be one winner, and right now it is looking like Griffin due to Wall’s early season injuries. I do not think there will be another ROY share, it has happened, but even than I felt like one was more deserving than the other. Whoever plays the best will win it, regardless of the Clippers finishing with a worse record than the Wizards or vice versa. You can only work with what you have, and right now neither players team has winning pieces at this point.
If Harrison Barnes and Kyrie Irving have good Tournament (Conferene and NCAA) play, who goes 1: Depends on who is picking, but I will still say Harrison Barnes has a good chance of being the first pick in the draft. Irving has looked more ready however, so I could see him going 1, but Harrison Barnes I think will make a case for being the 1st pick in the draft sooner or later. People really gave him hell, but he is not playing nearly as poorly as people have been claiming, and he has a lot to work with.
Who wins the Superbowl: Of course the Pats look like the clear cut favorite, they are playing better football than anyone around right now. But I will go with the underdog Eagles. It is a long shot, but they are easily the most team to watch in football right now, super exciting. They are also completely dangerous, which could make for them to be upset contenders, much like the Pats were when Tom Brady won his first Super Bowl. The team is different, but the circumstances might be eerily similar. If the Eagles avoid injuries (and the Bears, who had the defensive personnel to crush them), they have a good chance. A lot of variables, but stranger things have happened.

llperezNew Orelens relocate-i dont know how thier attendance is doing, but if it aint holding up, htne yes.
Amare win the MVP-too early to tell
the league lift the age limit-the surrent system is the best way to handle it.
the league retire MJ’s #-no. As a laker fan, we have tradition that goes way beyond jordan, mikan, west, wilt kareem magic. To have jordan up their simply becasue he is considered the goat just doesnt seem right. Im sure boston feels the same way. ANd other teams like indiana and utah and such that used to battle him and the city has their own little hardcore fan base of loyal fans would probably want absolutely nothing to do with jordans jersey hanging in their arena.
Denver trade Melo now or do a sign and trade in the summer-wait till summer.
The thunder trade green-vague question unless we know for what.
If Boston stay healthy throughout the season, should they win the title-they can. Not sure what you mean by should. I still have the lakers as favorites.
Dallas make it out of the first round-i say yes but there is not much seperation in the west from 1-8.
The Finals switch the format to 2-2-1-1-1-yes
Chauncey Billups be a HOF-no
Amare or Durant win the scoring title-i can see either guy winning it so yes.
Kevin Love be an alll star or Blake Griffin-they can, but will have to wait and see.
If Griffin or Wall teams have bad records at the years end, should there be a tie for ROY-roy should go to who is better if the records are the same. Too early to know who that is.
If Harrison Barnes and Kyrie Irving have good Tournament (Conferene and NCAA) play, who goes 1-irving
Who wins the Superbowl-patriots over falcons

Toronto16ParticipantNew Orleans relocate – Yes, unfortunately, after hurricane Katrina, its obvious they can not support an NBA team till they rebuild that city. Not their fault, just the way things are right now.
Amare win the MVP – He or Deron Williams, yes.
The league lift the age limit – No. Keep it at 19.
The league retire MJ’s # – Yes.
Denver trade Melo now or do a sign and trade in the summer – Trade him now to a horrible team. Get young pieces and draft picks.
The thunder trade green – No. Keep that core of Green, Westbrook and Durant.
If Boston stay healthy throughout the season, should they win the title – Yes
Dallas make it out of the first round – I guess they WILL. But they are not entitled to it.
The Finals switch the format to 2-2-1-1-1 – YES, YES AND YES.
Chauncey Billups be a HOF – Yes
Amare or Durant win the scoring title – I think this thread should be "will" not "should", but I’m going with Ama’re.
Kevin Love be an all star or Blake Griffin – Both
If Griffin or Wall teams have bad records at the years end, should there be a tie for ROY – No. It’s Griffin, Wall has missed too many games.
If Harrison Barnes and Kyrie Irving have good Tournament (Conferene and NCAA) play, who goes 1 – Irving.
Who wins the Superbowl – Bit biased, but I’m picking the Eagles.
