They’re in complete rebuilding mode.  When a lottery pick, although a good one, is your best player, that’s when you know you’re not going to win.

    That’s pretty bad.

    I’m still laughing from it.

You add injuries to a team that was already going to be horrible and this is what you get. It isn’t very pretty.

    Does this really surprise anyone?

This team is Full of Castoffs and bottom of the lottery players….It seems to me,that they could’ve gotten alot more for Gerald Wallace then what they got….

I think they made the right call getting rid of Gerald Wallace, even if he was worth more simply because it accelerated the rebuilding process, which is what this team really needed.

I don’t think they are that bad in the grand scheme of things, they are just a team looking to bottom out so they can score a stud in the draft. I’m still rooting for Barnes to end up in CHA because of the serendipity of it all, but whoever they get is going to need to wait for a running mate from the 2013 draft too before the Bobcats are ready to take the jump into competitiveness, unless Biyombo somehow develops and offensive game between now and next season and actually lives up to the hype, but I don’t see that happening.

Part of the reason the Bobcats and Hornets look historically inept is that D.J. Augustin, Gerald Henderson, Eric Gordon, and Carl Landry are out. New Orleans at full strength with full effort is still bad, but not embarassing. Charlotte would be embarassing either way, so maybe they are just saving Augustin and Henderson the indignity of being out there. Quite frankly, the Bobcats are not only bad but staring down two lottery picks who aren’t playing like lottery picks. The difference between Kemba Walker and Isaiah Thomas is 50 draft slots, some March fairy dust, and a lot of ESPN hype. Bismack Biyombo is playing like someone who was a backup center for a cash strapped ACB team who had to sell off Esteban Batista. There was literally a sequence last night that concluded where the Bulls missed a shot, no one on Chicago was going for the rebound as they were up by a million, but Biyombo tried to get a rebound where the only other guy who could get it was Tyrus Thomas and in trying to steal the rebound from his teammate ended up popping the ball out to C.J. Watson. This came immediately after him committing defensive 3-seconds and a goaltending violations. They traded off Stephen Jackson and Gerald Wallace to secure Rich Cho those two players. What about Rich Cho’s history indicates he is the guy they should want making draft decisions? It is nice that they will have a top 5 pick, likely the 31or 32nd, but that isn’t enough. The two more first rounders that they will have in 2013 leave them at two more horrific years away from possible intrigue if they hit on three firsts and a pair of high seconds. They might as well try to move Augustin to a playoff team looking for help to try and get another late first. The same goes for D.J. White if teams like Atlanta, Boston, or Chicago are looking for another frontcourt player who can hit a shot.

Nobody on the Bobcats is a truly good scorer. Kemba can score, but he’s inefficient. They don’t have any real talented players. Their team is full of guys who are mid to back end rotation guys on a good team. I knew they’d struggle to win because they don’t have enough offensive punch
