I have noticed the past 2 games Darren Collison has had great assist totals and turnovers are low. It just has me wondering about Chris Paul, I still think he is a very good player, but is he great??

Yeah he is great, the difference between Collison and Paul is that when Paul is on the floor it translates to wins.

    Obviously hes great..
    cmon thats a horrible question.
Chris Paul is by far the best PG in NBA.

Collison is very good, but hes no Chris Paul, he may be better off on a different team.
Marcus Thornton has played very well too since being placed in the starting lineup, i like his game.

Deron Williams begs to differ with that previous comment.

Anyways, though, Chris Paul is a stud no doubt. Yeah he plays in a system that maximizes his talent, but still, he has been in the top 5 in assists for the last 3 years. He makes everyone on his team better. I guarentee David West would not be an All Star without Chris Paul.

paul is the best pg in my book. He almst never puts himself in bad situations. He always under control and makes the smart play to make sure his team get’s a quality possesion every time down. Collison is playing very well too. He was being projected as a top 10 pick on this site after his sophomore year. But his being embarrassed by rose in the final 4 and not really taking his game to another level his last couple seasons caused his stock to drop. But the dude can ball and he runs a team like a pg should, getting into the lane and looking for the open man. NOt forcing his own shot very often.

Chris Paul can score pass and just have the intangibles. Collison is actually a lottery pick talent and happen to fall because of a deep pg draft and guys having more hype than him which helps NO because he can fill in now and they are not totally lost. Eric Maynor played real well for Deron Williams when he got hurt. Last year a lot of top guys went lower than normal because there was so many point guards. I bet if Teague got more minutes he would be a stud for ATL.

I agree. Good points. I think Jamal Crawford is stopping Jeff Teague from playing. If Atlanta did not make that trade to obtain Jamal Crawford Teague would be the team’s first guard off the bench.

Chris Paul is the best pg but when the Jazz play the Hornets Wiliams owns him. Maybe it’s just a match up thing or maybe Williams is sending a message, idk.

I’d happily take either one of them over any other PG in the league, but Williams to me is the best all around PG in the league. He can score from everywhere on the floor, he posts up smaller guys, he can shoot the 3, he’s strong off the bounce. He’s a better defender then Paul in my opinion. Plus he’s more versatile with the abilityto guard some 2’s.

I’m not bashing Paul at all here, so don’t take away my points cuz u disagree. It’s a 1 and 1A thing for me with the two, but I like Williams more.
