R-Dot-13ParticipantEnes Kanter looks like he can be a beast, and its a good idea to come to the US.
Great potential, but I think Wall has the most potential, he could be great.0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/20/2009 - 4:18pm #203782

JNixonParticipantI have never seen that Enes guy play…but he must be good if he’s being mentioned with Wall’s potential. I wanna see him play this yr.

QHaynes20Im not saying that JW has no potential.
You can doubt John Wall, he is not a 100% sure thing. I like his game but he has a chance to not go 1st in the draft and be a bust…it happened before.
I was asking on a comparison level but Wall in 2010 class and Kanter is in 2011. Is he near that level? I dunno, that why I put Mod Question up top

Michael.S.ParticipantNaw it’s cool I know, but you have said he will probably be a bust, compared him to Mo Cheeks, said you would rather have Favors and Brandon Knight, compared him to a recently mentioned euro prospect. ect.
You probably just think he will be a bust.0 - Posted on: Thu, 08/20/2009 - 5:48pm #203837
QHaynes20I said there the odds that he will be a bust are higher then him being a superstar (like with most players)
Compared him to Mo Cheeks is not a bad things
I think Brandon Knight is a better prospect, Favors not really.
Compared him no…Compared potential yes.
I laugh how people feel there is NO chance he can not pan out in the NBA

bobbygillerWe all (or most of us) seem to think Wall has immense potential while Kanter is still a relative unknown. We’ve all read about him recently but few people have gotten the chance to see him play yet. We’ll have a much better idea in the coming months after we get to see how Wall performs at Kentucky and Kanter at Findlay Prep. Oh and im speaking for myself on this topic, not on behalf of the website, im sure Aran has much more insight on this topic than I do

quincey hodgesthis is absurd. im pretty sure 99percent of the peopel on here havent seen the euro play so there really isnt much to discuss.as far as wall he could just as easily not be as good as people think. personally ill have to wait and see what he does against better competition since he had a extra year in highschool and wasnt highly reguarded in his true senior year. does that make me a hater…no but it definatly doesnt make me a bandwagon jumper like most peopel who are ready to discuss him in the same breath as chris paul, rose, dwill after he dominated against highschool talent

JoeWolf1I don’t know much about him at all, but 14.6 rpg in the FIBA Under 18 Championships is attention getting, From what i’ve read though, he isn’t super athletic, and there are some great players past and present that aren’t overly athletic, but usually when discussing things like potential, athleticism is a pretty big issue. I still say Wall, although he is only 17 Kanter sounds more like a mid to late lottery pick, when he comes over than a possible #1 like Wall.
