I’ve heard great things about the book. I’ve never read it, but I’ve seen a movie with the same name. It was pretty good.

I recently finished reading “Pickup Artists: Street Basketball in America.” It’s a great book, and I’d recommend it to anyone on here. I think I’ll read “Heaven is a Playground” next.

The Larry Bird book “Drive” was good. It really showed what kind of a competitior he was. He was a shy person and preferred the small city privacy and I believe his father committed suicide when bird was young if i remember correctly. But when he went on to a court, he just was a beast and wanted to go at everyone.

The Shaq book “Shaq talks Back” was very entertaining and insightful. He says it like it is and covers a lot of things about the nba behind the scenes about who is a knucklehead and how guys get caught up in off the court stuff. But he also seems to take credit for everyt thing he accomplishes and places blame on everyone but himself for what has gone wrong. The worst part was when he said that during the lock out shortened season of 1999, the lakers had no chance of winning the title because he refused to play hard for Kurt Rambis because he did not respect him. For a guy making 20 million a year who says he is the franchise to say he refuses to play hard and thus the team can’t win, i have a serious problem with that.

The Dennis Rodman book “Bad as I wanna Be” was also very interesting. But i kind of have to wonder how truthful he was being and how much was for shock value. But he also points out how he was caught up in the party life style and he spends an entire chapter talking about his relationship with Madona and shares a lot of dirt on that.
