They obviously need to get bigger.. Indiana will still be up there with 1 more year of experience, the bulls will be healthy, so this won’t get any easier for the Heat.. What do you guys think they should target in free agency or maybe they should trade and get a big.

Don’t get me wrong, I dig on the Heat and congrats on their title. But I don’t see them getting by a healthy Bulls team? If the Bulls can keep everyone, they have the tools to beat the Heat in a series. The Heat need to get bigger and I don’t dig on their PG’s. True Mario can hit the open shot, but both Mario and Norris can real guard. Parker was able to post up both of them and all three are the same size???

Do they dare break up the “Big 3” and trade Bosh? He literally didnt score one point in Game 7. Not that matters because they won but he has value and they could rebuild their team for next season.

They just won two championships in a row, have the best player in the planet and can sign veteran glue guys/specialists for cheap. What rebuilding do they need to do for next season? You don’t win two championships in a row and then trade one of your most important players because he scored 0 points in a game 7 win.

i know it can’t possibly happen, but if they could add a guy like david west it would be a done deal and they would win the chip again. but theres no way they could add someone of that caliber w/o freeing up cap room

David West to the Heat? If you’re going to throw out bogus player transactions, at least make it somewhat realistic.

Billups needs to retire he’s always hurt and he can’t guard quick Pg’s anyway.

Ray Allen if he takes his player option will be the backup SG and still has something left obviously.
Dalembert can get more money anywhere else and Oden please if he’s even a little bit healthy you know some team will throw some cash at him with a contract.

I’m pretty sure Miami is deep in the luxury tax so I don’t think they’ll be handing out big contracts in sign n trades even. Also they might lose Battier and Mike Miller to retirement.

Replacing Battier will be tougher than ppl think even if guys will come and play for the minimum.
Most aren’t as good as him defensively and can’t draw charge like him or hit 3s.

As for the big 3 its doubtful Bosh is moved he lost a lot of value with his poor offense and rebounding this postseason.
He did block some shot and played better than expected on defense but he’s no Center.

I think Indiana if they add a legit PG and some depth at SG can beat Miami. Of course they would need to resign David West thats a given but they have the defense, size to beat Miami. Turnovers and lack of consistent perimeter shooting stopped them from beating Miami and of course their coach blowing Game 1 by taking Hibbert out of the game. Gotta love these great coaches taking out their best big men because they can’t guard the perimeter give me a break.

Chicago with a healthy Rose, Deng, Hinrich, Noah, Boozer, Gibson can definitely give Miami some problems. If they keep Nazr, Belinelli and Rip that will help too. I wouldn’t count out the Knicks totally but they have to resign JR Smith, Amare has to be a factor and Chandler has to play like he did 2 years ago for them to have a chance. Defensively the Knicks are much better a healthy Shumpert has the ability to lock down Wade. Chandler and even Melo isn’t as weak a defender as he was in the past. Offensively they need to give Melo more help and need to improve the bench with Sheed, Kidd gone and an old Camby.

If anything we’ve seen the last 3 years is Miami though a great team can be beaten. Dallas played great as a team beat them and the Spurs did for the most part they just didn’t close it out and their coach failed them. Indiana a solid 50 win team played them well for 6 games before the blowout in Game 7.

Heats offseason: Celebrate the title. Seriously, they just won the title. They don’t need much, maybe a cheap big.

Is Greg Oden still interested in the Heat? I’ve been to busy to pay attention to the NBA until the playoffs…

They won’t trade Bosh, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t.

He was BAD these playoffs. Not game 7. The entire playoffs. His highlights were few and far, and he will make like 60 million over the next 3 years.
