Great deal for Miami. 2nd round picks don’t have cap holds, and the Heat are not building through the draft. They can max out Wade and still have $27+ million in cap space. Someone, please, try to find fault with that?

Here would be my zero source prediction trade for tomorrow: Beasley for Delonte West’s non-guaranteed deal. It would assure the Heat of Wade and two max signings.

Beasley and Durant can’t start together. One would have to play the 3 and 4. Either way, they would give up that inside presence.

Beasley is a 6th man, we wouldn’t be worth getting with the chemistry OKC is developing. Beasley can not cover NBA 4’s or 3’s and is better off coming off the bench as a mismatch.

are you serious, everything that Wade has said so far so he is 100% going to stay in Miami. He is recruiting players, he is not going anywhere. There is not one source that shows any evidence of Wade wanting to leave Miami.

Better range, doesn’t need the ball to be effective, already has great chemistry with the team…I have no idea why the Thunder would move Green to the bench for a ball dominant headcase like Beasley. Easily. First off, they will have three second round picks and the rights to Patrick Beverley and Robert Dozier. Second, Riley has a great list of undrafted rookie signings during his Miami tenure: Bruce Bowen, Anthony Carter, Malik Allen, Mike James, Udonis Haslem, Chris Quinn, and Joel Anthony. Third, if they come away with Wade, Joe Johnson, and Amare then 4-15 becomes roster spots every vet wants to fill. Allen Iverson is on the comeback trail. Is Marquis Daniels going to get another look? What about Theo Ratliff chasing a ring? Young guys who have had some bad luck like Randy Foye, Joe Alexander, Marcus Williams, Rodney Carney, Sean May, and Shaun Livingston could be rotation worthy. Kwame Brown, Fabricio Oberto, and Jason Collins are big bodies. Is Dorell Wright going to do better than a non-guaranteed offer for the minimum? What about guys like Bobby Simmons, Hakim Warrick, Tim Thomas, Steven Hunter, and Ime Udoka. Are they getting more than a veteran’s minimum deal? You can go to Europe and try to pluck a guys like Pete Mickeal, Milos Teodosic, or Aleks Maric. I haven’t even gotten into the D-Leaguers who will line up to play for their summer league team. Maybe they even sign Adam Morrison for his victory cigar charm. If you give me 70-80 points per game out Wade, Johnson, and Amare, then I think I can find eleven role players for minimal money to board, defend, supplement, and carry bags so I know Pat Riley can find eleven.

If the Thunder want to win, they won’t think about nonsense like unity and the supposed great chemistry the team now has. Talent wins, and Beasley is more talented than Jeff Green. Not just Beasley, but really any talented big men should be looked into by the Thunder because they are not going to win a title with Jeff Green and Serge Ibaka up front. They can either be proactive or have regret down the line.

If Minny was willing to trade the #4 for just Batum, then why wouldn’t they trade it for Green and a few more picks? Which they then can package and move up to fill another need. I like this move by the Thunder a lot. They get that shooter they need, and makes tomorrow more interesting.

True, but you can’t just hold onto a player because you like. The only time i’ve seen that pan out is when the Celtics refused to give up Rondo in the KG deal, but thats it. If you could draft Cousins/Favors for Jeff Green and picks you do it. The Thunder would be almost unstoppable with Durant and Cousins, and lets not forget Westbrook. It would make everyone on the team better. Plus with one of the picks you could draft someone like Ebanks or Robinson to fill in for KD when he’s on the bench.

Actually I think it’s pretty clear the Thunder DO put a lot of stock in team chemistry and players’ character, which is a big part of how they were so successful this year. If they want to keep winning they will probably keep doing the same thing that’s been working, not start adding guys like Beasley. He may be more talented, but he’s the classic example of a guy who never reaches that potential. Tweener, bad attitude, and teams will be reluctant to give him an opportunity to be a top 2 option because of his two disappointing years in Miami.

The Heat are on to something enormous… Too bad the Nets didn’t bite on that Dooling for Beasley trade not too long ago. That would’ve given them the non-guaranteed contract they need to land Wade, plus two more max players.

Can I get a standing applause for both teams played hard? I don’t think I could have said it any better. Wade is staying. Miami is the only team that can pull in 3 max guys, just by making Wade sign last. Wade loves it there and is excited to get the chance to get some talent. There are a lot of guys that want in the NBA from Europe and the D-League, a lot of vets that want a chance to win a championship, guys coming off injury or that were overpaid that want to prove something and a lot of guys that want to stay in the U.S. and play no matter what. You got a hall of fame coach that is probably going to come back when the team is assembled and a fairly wide open NBA. I love the defense of the Celtics and Lakers, but are either of those teams really that impressive? Most of the contenders are getting older and a team like L.A. is thin on bench play with a center that still can’t get right. Wade did pretty well with what little he had, so imagine what he can do with more. Afterall, the guy won a championship with a bunch of aging players.
