ShekiruBoomParticipantlowest point of big 3 era? ive followed them since the start and this is more depressing than their 9-8 start and their last year’s finals loss… at least they made it to the finals last year but this year they are losing to pacers, offense looks dead with both stars underperforming and role players failing and no chris bosh. i think lebron and wade win them at least 1 more but this series looks very bleak and no way they win the finals nevermind making the finals playing this way.
btw think about now its clear that the heat’s style of defense is very vulnerable to a team with a bunch of good solid players who can move the ball and beat their rotations. the mavs and now the pacers… its good against a star led team but against a well rounded team, the teams, just out pass the heat’s over aggressive defensive scheme

TyroberParticipantLeBron and Wade are the two best players on the HEAT, but Chris Bosh looks to me the 2nd most important player on this HEAT team. LeBron/Bosh and Wade/Bosh combo looks better than the LeBron/Wade combo right now.

mosdefParticipantBosh is important cuz they have no real size. They struggled with size even when they had Bosh

alex23Participantyea but also have you noticed the role players arent doing there thing either (besides mario chalmers at times ) , one else plays with confidence, bosh has to come back asap

kjhotshotParticipantWas anyone able to make out what the crowd was chanting when Dwyane Wade was taking his free throws in the late 3rd/early 4th quarter? I couldn’t tell and I’m dying to know!

ultrablue123ParticipantHopefully they lose, the big 3 breaks up, and then teams stop trying to take short cuts by attempting to build super-star teams.
I love how the NBA is working out right now. Teams like the Spurs and Thunder are looking like the most dominate teams, while teams like the Heat and Knicks are looking not so great (for the Heat, it would be in the playoffs). Maybe the superstar team thing worked for the Celtics, but that seems to be the only case at this point. Building through the draft still works.

TyroberParticipantBuilding through the draft works, but you can’t just say getting a big 3 doesn’t work. Chris Bosh is arguably their 2nd most IMPORTANT player. LeBron and Wade can easily replace each other, but the HEAT have no one that can replace what Bosh gives them on a nightly basis. Not to discredit what the Pacers have done, but this would be a different ball game with Bosh in it

CynthiaParticipantI honestly have to say I had no idea Bosh was this big of a deal for them. I mean I loved Bosh in Toronto but felt he was vastly overshadowed in Miami. But it’s become very clear how much of a contribution he really makes. I honestly think Lebron + Bosh + 3 Capable Starters would be much better than Lebron + Wade + Bosh + 2 Bench Starters.
