prophetmeirParticipantA big argument lead to many of my friends stating that its a champion chip or bust situation for the Heat. With deng Granger and mcroberts , there argument was that they are replacing one star for two stars and a quality big man. They also said that this is the second best team in the East. I dont call it a champion chip or bust season because i dont believe wade can produce as much as needed. Chris bosh has to comand a double team for them to even get pass the first round. And replacing a superstar with two all stars that are at the end of their prime does not cut it. I honestly think that washington is a better team than them right now and even the Charlotte Hornets. Its a good debate wanted to know what you all think.

Brew Meister SmithParticipantI clicked on the thread thinking it was a joke post. They are definately not the #2 in the east. Should make the playoffs – probably somewhere between 5-8.

juves4783Participantyou can’t argue that changing lebron with deng, granger and mcroberts is going to make the heat better. you can only play 5 on the court.
it’s hard to even believe that deng + granger is better than lebron + any of his backups in 40 minutes.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantThey just lost the best player on the planet,most definitely they’ll be taking a step back…Maybe a 4, 5 or 6th seed..
Currently they dont have a center,no backup for Wade and they bring back their point guards both of them really struggled in the playoffs..Alot of people expected both or 1 of them to be traded..
The Heat will be playing with a chip on their shoulders this season..I’m a season ticket holder and will be rooting for them….But i dont see them getting to the finals in 2015…If a miracle happens and they do,it’ll be an amazing story for the ages…lol

prophetmeirParticipantHave you ever played with someone that was so good, that every shot you take or every play you made you felt like it was going to hurt yourt team ? Someone could be so dominate that it takes away from everyones game. He makes the average player look great or a player that has a specific area to their game 3 point shooting , dunking etc but thats no excuse for mario at all he played terrible

username_takenParticipantWhile they made some good pickups, all of them combined won’t make the same impact as LeBron.

ExumInfernoParticipantPeople who think Miami didn’t take a big hit can look at it as a possible trade.
Miami trade away LeBron, Battier, Allen, Lewis and receive Deng, McRoberts, Granger, Napier.
It is a big loss for the roster, and players like Chalmers and Bosh that were getting open looks from LeBron handling the ball won’t get them now with Deng starting who is a big step down in most areas compared to James. Battier is a huge loss too, on the floor and off the floor, he was someone who did all the little things needed to make them win.

NickWayne87ParticipantA team just simply does not lose LeBron James and become better. It just does not happen. It’s a mathematical certainty. An undeniable inevitable fact.
