IndianaBasketballParticipantAt the game right now. Indiana fans are bandwagon pro’s, but it’s still good to see everyone supporting the team.
The energy is crazy in here. The Pacers are going to play their best game of the series so far I think. They look ready and confident.

IndianaBasketballParticipantMiami desperate… Starting Dexter Pittman lol.

SportsNinjaParticipantMost of the bandwagoners are probably anti-Heat fans moreso than Pacers fans. You are everybody’s hero if you defeat their villain. The world wants to see OKC vs Indiana! !
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 1:28pm #670991

HitsterParticipantBig risk throwing Sexy Dexy in there but they maybe hope his bulk can try to negate Roy Hibbert.
The Pacers have really exceeded expectations this season, they are probably already at the sort of peak that a lot of us thought this team could reach and if they can win tonight then game 4 is huge for Miami.
Also throw in what another year without a title could do to LeBron for example, I have a feeling that to win the first title is always the hardest.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 1:29pm #670992

Tobe BryantParticipantI didn’t expect Paul George to be such a nice player! I like this guy!
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 1:31pm #670999

IndianaBasketballParticipantLeBron James with the flop of the year lmao.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 1:36pm #670997
Memphis MadnessParticipantThe Thunder might just steal Miami’s dynasty. Bosh is hurt and LBJ might be gassed by the Finals. But, to get there they might have to go through Boston. That would be a hard-fought series.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 1:38pm #671002

IndianaBasketballParticipantHeat D has the Pacers scrambling. Playing around the perimeter isn’t going to win the game. They need to dominate with Hibbert/West. F trying to get Granger involved because LeBron has him on lock. He needs to get his shots within the flow.
Offensively, Heat having success with pick and roll.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 1:39pm #671004

IndianaBasketballParticipantIt’s kinda funny to see Granger so frustrated with LeBron’s defense lol. He can’t shake him. Not even picks are keeping LeBron from him. Crazy.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 1:41pm #671000

KayjayParticipantIs serious now. Everybody is scoring, their offense running so smooth.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 1:41pm #671001

HaleParticipantIt was obviously a flop but it wasn’t THAT bad. Indiana needs to slow Miami down they are getting that floater all day and have made 10 straight.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 1:43pm #671006

IndianaBasketballParticipantSomething isn’t right with D Wade
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 1:46pm #671003

KayjayParticipantMiami’s getting all those floaters and flip shots. Why are the Pacer’s allowing them to get those. I think they are just kind over anxious, they will settle in.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 1:54pm #671012

KayjayParticipantWade has been struggling all season long, and now its like his shot can’t find the rim. He better find it soon, or else the ‘big two’ will turn into the ‘big one’ at this point.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 2:06pm #671014

IndianaBasketballParticipantPacers should win this series if they score low post, rebound and defend…
D. Wade looks worn down or something and I don’t think LeBron can keep carrying the load. Other than those two, the Heat are pretty underwhelming. Chalmers is solid, but when he’s your third guy, you have a problem.
This Heat team other than D. Wade looks like Cleveland… Even worse.

WizardofOzParticipantHibbert is an atrocius PNR defender.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 2:45pm #671026
joecheck88ParticipantLebron’s left handed dunk was sick.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 2:46pm #671027

WizardofOzParticipantWade’s jumper has regressed so much over the past few years.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 2:48pm #671030

IndianaBasketballParticipantPacers starting to wear the Heat down I think. And for whatever reasons, D Wade is STRUGGLING.
Play through post. Rebound. Defend. Make free-throws.
Pacers following that recipe to a T right now.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 2:50pm #671028
HotSnotParticipantWhile going to commercial they were showing a preview of the Clips/Spurs game, they showed Griffin taking jump shots… no wonder why he can’t shoot! Griffin jumps and at his peak he starts his shooting motion. Its all arms, hitchy and stiff. Then they show a clip on the other side of the court of TimmyD shooting J’s and its all one motion. Duncans arms are moving in unison with his body and he releases his shot AT the peak of his jump.
0- Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 2:54pm #671029

IndianaBasketballParticipantGranger has really stepped up his D on LeBron.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 2:58pm #671035

IndianaBasketballParticipantI think it’s safe to say that Granger doesn’t like LeBron
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 2:59pm #671031

WizardofOzParticipantThe Heat are crumbling lol.
But LeBron’s jumper has been garbage all season. His jumper was so much better last year. Now that he can’t get to the rim like he used to, he has to rely on that jumper much more, but it’s been inaccurate. He changed up his form working out with KD, and the results haven’t been pretty.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:01pm #671040
WTF I’m BANNEDlebron is not relaxed, you need to be relaxed
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:01pm #671033

WizardofOzParticipantLOL @ Wade yelling at Spo. Pathethic. When your head coach can’t command respect from your players, then he’s not fit to run a team.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:05pm #671034

ShekiruBoomParticipanti would say lebron’s jumper has improved this year. 1 game and you turn the entire season on its back. but not looking good with basically lebron and maybe mario going 2v12
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:06pm #671036

Wahoo757ParticipantWhy was Granger getting in Lebrons’ grill? Didn’t even look like Lebron’s elbow even connected with Danny after watching the replay 20 times.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:06pm #671037

Raef LaFrentzParticipantGranger likes to think he can fight players. He has gotten into it with a ton of players this year. Play the game. You’re a good player, stop acting like an idiot.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:07pm #671045

IndianaBasketballParticipantGranger got upset with LeBron about that elbow because there’s bad history there. LeBron has thrown an elbow at him in the past and they got into it.
The Heat look awful and D Wade is in a mood… It’s affecting his team.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:07pm #671038

Bill Walton’s KneesParticipantI wasn’t aware that you can shoot 53% from the floor when your jumpers considered "garbage" or you "can’t get to the rim"
His free throw shooting is absolutely horrific, but his jumpers improved.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:07pm #671039

WizardofOzParticipantLOL wut? I watched basically every nationally televised Miami game this year, and more, and I think it’s safe to say that LeBron’s jumper has regressed from last year. I’m not just basing it on one game. He clearly doesn’t have the same confidence in his shot that he had last year.

The Pacers are about to front run.

WizardofOzParticipantYou guys need to stop going purely off stats and use the eye test more. That’s all I gotta say.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:14pm #671046

KayjayParticipantI have never seen more missed open shot oppurtunities this season. And I watch my Sac-town kings miss tons of shots. Guys like Miller and Battier are like wide open, lol how do you miss those shots? I would be begging for an open shot as a 3 poin shooter. Idk, one of the big three should be traded away for some depth. But thats just me.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:14pm #671053

Meditated StatesParticipantWill sum up their year. Spo is history, no respect from Wade. Miami is in some sh!t cause their bench is trash and their stars are not shooters. Clog the lane and bye Miami. I think Miami is not even in the finals if Rajon doesn’t destroy his elbow last year.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:15pm #671047

ShekiruBoomParticipanthe has the highest true shooting % of his career along with the best 3pt % of his career. so either he got to the rim a lot to raise his ts% or his jumpshot improved either way you are clearly wrong

IndianaBasketballParticipantPacers just destroying the Heat in every way.
I’m calling it right now… Pacers in 6.

IndianaBasketballParticipantHeat fans are sh*tty lol.
LeBron 2 points the entire 2nd half and Wade a no show.
Crowd chanting floppers non-stop.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:29pm #671058
HotSnotParticipantIndy is not playing imtimidated. They are getting in Miami’s face on everything. They’re fighting hard an not backing down. Wade looks passive and disinterested. Was that a "D Wade Flopper!" chant that broke out during his FT’s on a foul by Collison?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:30pm #671060

KayjayParticipantWith the Heats roleplayers. I see reluctance everytime they get the ball. Like they are frozen a split second before they make a decision.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:32pm #671061
HotSnotParticipantSeeing Chalmers breakout this game and helping Miami get back into it… makes me wonder how much playing with the Big 3 hurts his game. He seems capable of much more then he gets a chance to show regularly.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:33pm #671070

IndianaBasketballParticipantHeat fans are sh*tty in this thread, but look at the stats…
Pacers are dominating this game. Rebounds. Free-throws. Defense. Post scoring. Balanced scoring.
And they locked up LeBron and Wade in the 2nd half.
Pacers are NOT afraid of this team.

i know the series isnt over but this is likely a confidence killer

0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:41pm #671073
HotSnotParticipantYou have to know the Heat had all the motivation in the world to win this game… Wade calling out the Pacers “celebrating” after the last win. Wade’s a no show all game and the Heat look defeated. Perhaps its dawned on the Heat that they’re not real title contenders?
How much of this has to do with Bosh being out? He missed half the first game. Is he that much more of a factor to the Heat being able to win? Were the Heat just lucky to get a victory in game one?

probably…. yeah
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:49pm #671083

WizardofOzParticipantLeBron is just a shell of himself athletically man. I don’t care what anybody says. Just watch the game and you’ll see i. He no longer has that takeover ability. Last season, he at least had that jumper to rely on when he couldn’t get to the rim, but now what?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:50pm #671088

IndianaBasketballParticipantThere goes the Granger is soft comments lol.

khaled_a_dParticipantI remember few months ago there was a thread about ranking the Center in this league and a lot of people were questioning why many of us was rating roy hibbert a top 5-7 C
he is now proving that he deserved that Rating,His defense and scoring abilities is really important to that team success
also I really love the pacers right now ,they play as a group and moves the ball really well, which is my favorite type of game, hope they will be able to win this series, won’t count the heat out yet0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:51pm #671084

0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 3:56pm #671087

Bill Walton’s KneesParticipantDid you really just say Lebron James no longer has the ability to take over a basketball game? So what your saying is the player who put up the greatest season since Jordan (PER wise) cannot take over a basketball game. That’s one of the more ridiculous things I’ve heard in a long time.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 4:05pm #671091

Granger with 20+
Hibbert dbl dbl with 3 blk
James and Wade 50+
Another Wade cheap shot on Hill/Collison (someone smaller than he is)
Pacers by two

WizardofOzParticipantLeBron’s droughts aren’t surprising to me in the least. There’s nothing he does on the floor that could be considered a "strength". Nothing he could hang his hat on when the going gets tough. He has to PRAY his jump shot is on. Either that or pray the opposition is playing very bad defense, so he can get to the basket. Since neither is happening, he disappears. This is why I have always laughed at the best-in-the-game talk the last 2 seasons. He’s good, but the best? Please. These droughts, I think we can all agree, aren’t surprising in the least. There’s nothing he does on the floor that could be considered a "strength". Nothing he could hang his hat on when the going gets tough. He has to PRAY his jump shot is on. Either that or pray the opposition is playing very bad defense, so he can get to the basket. 0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 4:17pm #671099

IndianaBasketballParticipantLeBron is a beast defensively, rebounding, pushing and passing the ball. Offensively, despite his numbers say differently, he still has some holes.
The Pacers just loaded up on him tonight and he really didn’t have any help. Role players missed open shots. D. Wade didn’t show up.
The problem with LeBron though is he can’t take advantage of his size, strength and vision in the low post. And he also has no go-to move. No sweet spot. Everything is isolation and he needs a pick. His jumper is still somewhat streaky and tonight it just wasn’t falling.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 4:18pm #671095

Raef LaFrentzParticipant^Again, you sound stupid.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 4:21pm #671096

HaleParticipantWow GTFO with that nonsense. Everything you said is wrong. Nothing he does on the floor that’s a strength? He’s arguably the best perimeter defender in the NBA. He’s one of the five best passers regardless of position in the NBA. He’s a good rebounder, and despite what you’re saying he’s actually a pretty good shooter too from midrange and from deep. He’s probably the best finisher in the NBA. He’s one of the best athletes in the history of sports. He’s lead teams full of crap deep in the playoffs year after year.
So what exactly does he do that isn’t a strength? Make Dwyane Wade better at shooting? Not his fault Wade’s jumper sucks. Just because you’re a Washington fan you’re acting so insanely biased it’s ridiculous. He has been the best basketball player on earth since 2009 and if you don’t see that you don’t know basketball period. It’s not even debatable.
0- Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 4:28pm #671101

WizardofOzParticipant@Y2G
^^Most of the things you just said in your postare of the past. I’m not talking about the LeBron of Cleveland. I’m talking about CURRET LeBron. He USED to be one of the best athletes in sports. Nowadays, he’ll get one good dunk a game to fool people into thinking he’s still a freak of nature. If you watched him trying to get by Danny Granger today and still deny that he hasn’t lost quickness, you’re blind and I can’t help you. I bet if you put current LeBron on the past Cleveland teams he led, they would be significantly worse because he’s not as good as he was back then.
And me being a Washington fan has no effect on what I’m saying. Many of my fellow Washington fans hate LeBron, but I neither like him no hate him. I wasn’t a die-hard back in that 06 playoff series. I have no resentment for LeBron and I’m stating everything with objectivity, unlike some of you that are blinded by reputation.

- Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 4:31pm #671102

HaleParticipantI never said he hasn’t lost a step but for you to think he still isn’t an elite athlete is dumbfounding and that’s literally the only part you debated. He’s still an incredible defender, passer, teammate, finisher and I would say rebounding and his jumper would be strengths for most other players. The only reason they aren’t consdiered strengths for him is because he’s amazing at other things.
I’ll believe you when you say you aren’t biased because of Washington, but come on man. You’re going way overboard with the criticism.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 4:49pm #671108
aamir543ParticipantDamn! I had an interview today and totally forgot about this game, just got home and saw that the Pacers ROMPED the Heat. From the box score looks like D-Wade has some explaining to do. I didn’t read Wiz of Oz’s posts but from slight skimming and all the negs I can assume he’s talking about how Lebon has lost all of his athleticism.
He has lost some, but not a lot, he bulked up too much, he lost a bit this off-season but he needs to lose more, the current Lebron isn’t as atheltic as the Cleveland Lebron, but current Lebron is still an Elite all world level ahtlete.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 5:04pm #671112

Malik-UniversalParticipanteven if lebron has "lost" atheltism….
hes still the best athlete the nba has ever seen… and still one of the best athletes the world has ever seen….. but his speed and jumping has nothing to do with the heat losing…. the pacers simply imposed their will on the heat and thats the only thing that matters…. miami had no anwser for hibbert and hill…… once miami had that 9 point lead in the first.. i thought they were gnna win… but the loss of bosh really really showed up in the second half and i was kinda surprised…. didnt think miami would get beaten down that badly…
0 - Posted on: Thu, 05/17/2012 - 5:33pm #671116

Raef LaFrentzParticipant
Yeah, he definitely isn’t athletic anymore…

Malik-UniversalParticipant^now thats athletic
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/18/2012 - 2:49am #671184
PulseGlazerParticipantA lot of us knew this, but some argued – Bosh is their most important player. He’s clearly third best, but he has absolute trash backing him up, he’s hugely disruptive on defense with his length and quickness, and he makes ALL of their offensive floor spacing work. Without Wade or Lebron (NOT both), but with Bosh, this is still a great team. Without Bosh, but with the other 2, I’m not so sure.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/18/2012 - 3:06am #671186

HitsterParticipantHuge win for the Pacers and if their crowd gets right behind them then Game 4 becomes awkward for the Heat and if they get near to another play off event then the press will be on their backs. LeBron could easily drop 35 to 40 points in a couple of games to turn the series but he needs support and even if the Herat scrape through will they be able to progress further?
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/18/2012 - 1:48pm #671392
NYK2010ParticipantThis is why Riley won’t win executive of the year.
He wasted cap space on Haslem, Miller, James Jones, Jole Anthony.
He has basically 4th stringers on the team in Pittman, Curry, Howard.
Minimum vets like Turiaf, Eddie House and a overhyped rookie in Norris Cole are his big move outside of Shane Battier who is clearly not the same player and is just a jump shooter on offense. How many SG, SF’s does the team need.
Heat are capped out for the next 4 yrs after this season and any of the big 3 can leave in summer of 2014.
Not sure about the new CBA but ppl say there is no more mle just an exception.
Team need legit big men, rebounders, shot blockers and someon off the bench that can score.
