bigblackNbeautifulParticipantI think the hawks are one of the few teams that will look at embiid to play next to horford and having millsap around would allow them to bring him along nice and slow

he_gets_bucketsParticipantI think they are pretty much set for the immediate future at the bigs with Millsap and Horford, and at point Teague is really starting to flourish as one of the better points in the East this year, so that leaves their wings, and this isn’t a knock on Demarre Carroll or Kyle Korver, but no team should be giving both these guys 28 minutes+ a night. They have pretty subpar talent on the wing, with Korver and Carroll both being good role players on a contending team. So they should almost certainly be looking for a 2 or 3, preferably someone who can spread the floor off spot up jumpers. While it isn’t something they DON"T want, they don’t need a guy to create offense for others with Teague there, and they took Shroeder last draft and he has shown promise as a Rondo-light version off the bench for them if he reaches his potential. So I think guys who would work well for them would be;
1. Jabari Parker- Ideal pick for them, spreads the floor, plays within the team concept, though his defense is suspect at this time
2a. Rodney Hood- Has shown how sweet his stroke is at Duke, and I feel like if the Nets pick ends up being in the 8-12 range with the big names off the board already, Rodney would be one of two players I would consider, as he is a great spot up shooter and an above average athlete, with heaps of potential waiting to be tapped.
2b. James Young- Kentucky has struggled some this season, and none of the big Frosh’s have played that well outside of Randle, whose stats are inflated from big games against bad competition, I feel like James has the best pro potential because his game is much more suited to the pro game. He is a great shooter, spot up and off the dribble, though he hasnt always shown it this college season, he has a reliable handle for a 2/3 allowing him to get to basket when need be and is a well above average athlete with plenty of potential on the defensive side of things if he starts to be more interested on that side of the ball.
Also, keep in mind that Hood and Young are the picks if they are selecting in the 8-12 range with the big names eg, Parker, Wiggins, Embiid and what not already gone. Obviously if one of those fell they should select them even if it is just to trade down to get a guy who fits better and a vet in return.

hawkmanParticipantAs a Hawks fan, it has to be Parker. The fanbase here consists of quite a few fairweather fans and transplants that only sell out the arena to see the opposing team’s superstars. We haven’t had a superstar here since ‘Nique. The Hawks need an easily recognizable star who will get the fanbase excited from day one. Plus the team is full of great complimentary players just waiting for a go to guy. Parker gets his points within the team concept but can create when he needs to. And the Hawks are pretty big on character so that’s a plus too. He’s a perfect fit for the Hawks.
