knicksfan7ParticipantDominique Jones. I said in another thread he should not jump, but depending on how USF does the rest of the season, with a possibility of a tournament appearance then I think he should jump. Also, I think he is a better bet than Xavier Henry and Willie Warren. He is a sleeper definitely, and which ever team gets him is getting a very talented scorer who can do it all.

JNixonParticipantI would take him in the 1st round. He’s going to be a great NBA player. He’s like a Randy Foye type. It’s always good to see people that bring up the sleeper players to everyone’s attention

tli232Ok… here’s the thing with Supersized “point guard” Prospects from small schools, you’re never going to know how well their “do-it-all” game is going to translate into the NBA. Yes, Jones has shown that he can create plays for his team mates, but if you look at just how many seconds Jones has the ball in his hands, it’s not as impressive. IMO, he’s one of those guys who will be ineffective without the ball in their hands to begin their career. That’s not a good thing. I honestly think Lester Hudson was better than Jones. Look at Hudson now.

JNixonParticipantDominique Jones will be a SG in the NBA, and he has played off the ball a considerable amount in college so that won’t be that big an adjustment (Mike Mercer, Anthony Crater and Chris Howard all play PG a good deal for USF currently, and Howard was always the PG for them before this year.). I think he can enjoy a Randy Foye type career.

gatorheelsParticipantI think Jones is better than Lester Hudson. I have to agree though that I don’t think Jones will be that effective in the nba.
I think he could be a late 1st round pick but I would be more comfortable picking him mid 2nd round.
Personally I think:
Aubrey Coleman > Dominique Jones > Jermaine Taylor > Lester Hudson > Jeremy Hazell
^ just throwing some names out there off the top of my head
