Hassan Whiteside and Draymond Green had a little twitter beef about small ball in the NBA and how if you had a scoring big man then small ball wouldn’t work. That had Green to resoind to Whiteside stating "Can you score doe…….. Bigs becoming dinosaurs". That led Whiteside to tweet "2 dribbles in the post they going to cry for a double team FOH just watch go small ball #lightdoubledouble #getyourweightup #dontflop". Then Green then tweeted about how much money he makes compared to him and the fact that he played in the d-league. He tweeted "82 million reasons to flop and the d league aint never been one !!!! But keep wearing shirts chasing that 2k rating #thefinerthings.

I have to side with Hassan Whiteside in this case. I always felt that if Timofey Mozgov had a post game and can dominate the Warriors small ball lineup with his post game would’ve change the entire series, without Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. You can make a case about the small ball lineup outrunning the bigger lineup, but you would just look at one side of the situation. You don’t outrun them w/o the turnovers and you would change the lineup to go big if the center dominate in the post.

I fount it hilarious that Draymond Green with how much money he makes compared to him and if he can score because Whiteside average more points and field goal percentage while playing in 9 fewer minutes. Also, Hassan Whiteside will most likely get paid more money than Green after the season.

I have to admit this a lil funny, but.movgov does have a some post game, it might be a lil underrated & not on the gasols or cousins level but its there. Whenever he got consistent minutes he played very well against the warriors, it was coach blatt that took movgov out, I think.because he wanted to counter what golden state was doing, but it didn’t work cuz the cavs with Irving& love put didn’t have that kind of roster or man.power to play the warriors that way.

"I make more money than you" is an argument that comes up at high school lunch tables around the world, I’m fans of both Whiteside and Green but childish back and forth arguments between grown adults always make me uncomfortable/embarrassed. Am I alone with that reaction to incidents like this?

Yeah, especially when Green makes more than Steph Curry, too. Does that mean he is  better than the MVP? Useless argument…

I hate when people resort to using money to try to win an argument. Just because they make millions don’t make them right about everything, especially since it seems like everyone gets overpaid nowadays

      I agree man.

You only need to read some of the replies in this thread to realise that most people are easily manipulated by what they see and hear.

Draymond Green is now officially over rated.

Twitter beef is always gold though.

Over rated by what metric?  Certainly not over rated for anything he does on the court you meant right?

Man, so many people reply to my posts that I can never get any work done.

I see you’re the kind of guy that needs some kind of scientific formula before you grasp a concept. So a 3-part scale is the metric…

          Players can be either:

          A) Under-rated

          B) Properly rated

          C) Over-Rated

          Draymond Green is now C) – Over-Rated.

The notion that a big can destroy smallball is bogus.  It’s not the bigs that are going the way of the dinosaur it’s the post.  A big who can play defense and defend the pick and roll at an elite level negates smallball.  Defenses are making it too hard to score from the block, that is what is going away.  We watched Lebron pound the ball 40 possessions a game without getting it done and he is one of the best passers in the world out of the double team.

I also think this whole smallball thing is getting ridiculous.  The Spurs won two years ago, I wouldn’t say they are playing small ball.  They are just focusing on the most effecient shots, I.E the 3 pointer, particularly the corner 3 (when weighted for pts not just %).  One small ball team wins and it’s the death to everything else.  SPACE is killing the Post should be the topic.

Man sometimes I think I’m the only person in the world nowadays who doesn’t care at all about tweets.

I was shaking my head about how everybody got excited when the DeAndre-CP3-Parsons banana boat tweet happend and still can’t get excited at all about this kind of ‘beef’.

The season needs to start asap, we need something to talk about.
