If Barnes goes to Duke (hypothetically) with Irving already committing how do you think them working together would be and the affects on the team they would have. I say that it would be one of the best backcourts in college and they would help their team to a Final Four appearance. As Pros I think both will be successful, Barnes has more potential though even though Irving is a great player.

i think they woul dbe ok..not one of the best backcourts in my opinion since both will be new to college basketball..plus they havnt played a game against that type of competition yet..would have to see a couple game first

It would be a very good backcourt and one of the best teams in the nation but it wont happen hes going to UNC.

Yea I can see where your coming from but you don’t think they will make an easy adjustment I mean they are top high school players.

yeah but duke always gets the top guys every year and how many of them come in and just dominate?..i think barnes could put up deng type numbers as a freshman..around 15..plus the acc have very good guards who werent ranked that high in hs but have gotten so good now that if they were in hs they would be ranked high

If Barnes were to go to Duke they would be very good hes easily one of the top 3 best players in the nation annd if you put him with Irving they would be very very good. Duke would have a very good chance at a FF if Barnes picked them.

i think ya’ll may be going a lil overboard..yeah they would be good but i dont see them leading them to a final four in year one..to many other good players out there who are older more experienced and very talented

There have been many freshman who have been able to help their team out their first year, Derrick Rose comes to mind first leading his team to the NCAA Championship, Tyreke Evans to the Sweet Sixteen also comes to mind. They both had immediate impacts on their teams so Freshman can have a good impact,

Dont forget Greg Oden lead an extremely young team (three freshman starters) to the championship game against Florida, but until Dike gets a legit post threat, Final Four may be too much for them… and its Kyrie, not Kyle

yeah drose had a very very good team with him ..i dont see duke being very very good untill they get a big man who like to bang..they always get guards/first team all american pg/sg/sf…dukes players arent as tough as memphis and dukes offense doesnt really allow a freshman to showcase his full talents like memphis does

Well I believe Calipari helped utilize their abilities so that definitely helped but I have such high hopes on Barnes I think he is something special and he is one of those freshman who make a big impact. I believe he can do well in Duke’s system as well as any system but in this case he can do well as a player. I do agree they need a big man willing to get physical to contend but they always seem to manage. Again this is a hypothetical question I am not so sure he will be going to Duke.
