AdamJCallejaParticipantIs Harrison Barnes the epitome of a sophomore slump?

Jayhawks2011ParticipantAh, he got held up by Iggy, is often the 3rd or 4th or 5th option on the court.

omphalosParticipantHe’s a guy who needs to start and pick his moments to attack throughout the game, not come off the bench as a loaded gun. He is so much better in the starting lineup than off the bench and gels perfectly with Curry and Thompson in the frontcourt. I’d send Iggy to the bench as the primary ball-handler ala Manu and let Barnes get run as a starter.

theballerwayParticipanthis shooting percentage isnt letting him shine, his inability to hit shots. Hes getting shots, he supposed to be a shooter but it just looks nice it doesnt go in. He still cant create or handle much. If the shots not dropping he doesnt really bring much. He really needs to work on his game . How different is he from the guy we saw at UNC before Kendall Marshall saved his career.
‘The Black Falcon’ just hasnt really improved much at all.
When he had a mismatch and was playing well in last years playoffs Jackson rode him to be fair and his minutes are slightly up but percentages down. At some point hes must take the blame and initiative to improve or add another dimension to his game.
Hes young so theres time obviously but I think it starts with him. Hes the 3rd option at best this shouldnt be that hard

Russell0WestbrookParticipantOnce you start off by playing as a starter and get replaced by a vet some young guys never recover from that they should have never got iggy IMO. They were just desperate to make a move when they weren’t going to get Dwight they should have used that money on a good backup big man since their 2 starters are so injury prone. Barnes showed enough last year as a rookie on the big stage not to be replaced in year 2
