I remember in an old Jordan doco they mentioned that his "good looks" were part of the reason he was so marketable. If you were a GM for a team which was losing money and you had the first overall pick, would you select a more talented but less marketable ugly player, or a guy who was still very talented but marketable or "handsome" if that’s how you want to define it, bearing in mind making money is the ultimate goal, would you go about it by trying to win more games or creating a likeable star. Oh and I’ll use Noah as my example of what I mean by ugly… Dude just looks weird.
