TomShoeParticipantThis is funny. It’ll be interesting to see whether DJ can make his foul shots.
Any comments about the game so far?

aamir543Participant^It’s the Spurs and Coach Pop, they might play more up tempo nowdays, but I get the feeling that it’s their goal to be boring so that ESPN keeps them off their highlights and the rest of the league doesn’t look at San Antonio as a team with a target on their backs.

BruinSteveParticipantI know this is an effective tactic but it really slows the game down and makes the game more boring

UNCbasketballbumParticipantyeah, I’ve never been a fan of the hack a Shaq, bash a Ben days. I understand the strategy though. Deandre Jordan is a horrific free throw shooter, but I have seen worse, Andris Biedrins anyone? I like how the commentators said Denadre Jordan has 2 field goals outside of the paint in his career. Guess he isn’t working on that 15 foot mid-range jumper during the off-season.

NYK2010ParticipantAnyone who shoots under 60% should be embarrassed.

aamir543ParticipantHold on, you don’t think that after Miami threw that big welcome party that EVERY single team went to the calendar and circled that game? Now it’s not like the Spurs were under the radar or anything but teams didn’t go into that game with an extra edge of trying to beat "The Dream Team" And I was being sarcastic, not serious in my earlier post.

usfballerParticipantAny professional baller who can’t shoot 60% should be forced to shoot granny style. I can’t believe shooting below 20% is less embarrassing than actually making a decent percentage but in a different way. Does anyone think less Od Wilt, Kareem or Rick Barry because they short their free throws underhanded? Swallow your damn pride and make some damn FT’s!

Why do people in US find Spurs boring? To me and most of my friends Spurs are playing one of best basketball in recent era. It’s rely joy to watch them playing. Me, just like most people who watch game praise Popovich idea as briliant, just as they prasie Spurs. Most of us would like to see Spurs-Boston finals. But as far as I got impresion that this would be most unlikelble finals in US. My friend who is in Houston now tells me that media in US is almost afraid of Spurs in finals.
I’m intrested in opinion from you guys, just would like to understand better cultural difrence when it come to baskeball.
