Michael.S.ParticipantThis is not me saying the Grizzlies should pass on Rubio because he’s a potential franchise player, but this is about why is everyone giving up on Mike Conley after Basically only his first year as a pro, because in his rookie year he played only about half the season,I will admit I don’t watch alot of Grizzlies games but I’ve seen a few and Conley is pretty good, and his stats aren’t half bad either at 10+ppg 4asts and 3rebs for a young pg.
I think they should draft Rubio and trade Conley to a team where he can start at point
but why have people given up on him soo quickly
Even though who the hell wants to see Rubio on the Grizzlies0 - Posted on: Wed, 05/20/2009 - 10:53am #151690
blackflash234Participantdraft rubio and trade conley to sacramento for hawes or thompson because sacramento needs a point guard and memphs needs a 4 man

LBJ_GreatnessParticipanttell me why sacramento would give up Hawes or thompson of all ppl when they could trade Garcia or someone like Nocioni

Meditated StatesParticipantThey better do their homework on Rubio. A shot blocker would cause fast brakes so those atheletes could get out and run. I would take Rubio if I was certain he was an upgrade over Conley.

Meditated StatesParticipantI would hold on to Hawes. You know what he can do against NBA talent. Thompson looks pretty good too.Just be certain on pulling that trigga.

coolkids123Participantwhy not just draft Jordan Hill, if you’re going to trade for a 4?

JPParticipantit is a tough call… but the more i look at it, rubio, in my opinion is the one player who has the greatest chance to be “special” in this draft. as much as I have propped Thabeet in the past year, i think Memphis would be making a big mistake to think Conley is their PG of the future.

llperezeither Hawes or Thompson for Conley if I was Sac. Those are the only 2 bright spots outside of KMart in Sac. They will probably draft Jennings to address their pg needs.

rvirsalParticipanthow bout this? conley for the sac 4th pick + kenny thomas, then the grizz drafts hill with the 4th pick, or the kings draft him for them. memphis could add the 27th pick this year and the lakers pick next year or something..

QHaynes123The over way i could see Mem take Rubio is if they have a deal to trade Conley( and other pieces) for Stoudemire.
