Pistons offered him to Atlanta for Teague and Korver.

No surprise this got rejected, but I guess the only good thing to know is at least they have given up on Jennings.

Here is to hoping that the Lakers don’t give up Randle for him or Rondo for that matter.  I don’t think they will but…….

The irony is unbelievable. Last year it was a "proposal" to ship Teague to Milwaukee. I guess, we all can officially say, that Teague is the consensus solution for Jennings’ trail.

The Celtics are interested in Monroe. Discussions have been made but Boston has not committed to anything as they do not know in which direction they want to go…..

It is worth noting that Josh Smith and Rondo were high school team mates and are still close friends today.

Some variation of Monroe for Rondo may be a good deal for both teams actually. Rondo was worth more than this a year ago probably, but his value is probably down right now.

Monroe is a good player in a bad situation so I think that he could do well in Boston, and Rondo would improve the Pistons greatly right away.

It’s so tough to figure out a landing spot for Rondo since none of the contenders really fit his style offensively, even though I think he would help anyone. From teams that are serious or semi contenders, I’d say the Mavericks are the best fit but lack the assets needed to get him. Houston would be an awkward fit but Harden could play more off ball. They too seem to lack real assets but Boston is going to have to make a decision or let him walk.

Maybe OKC could flip Reggie Jackson (and Perkins for salary matches) for Rondo. Rondo could be the primary ball handler with OKC’s first unit and allow Russell Westbrook to dominante with the second unit. Size is an issue defensively and Scott Brooks isn’t a good enough coach to have these guys mesh smoothly but top-tier players can figure it out after awhile.

You want to take the ball out of the hands and move to the bench a guy who’s averaging 26/6/7 in under 30 minutes a game? Yikes.

Not move him to the bench, allow him to play off the ball more with the starters and dominant the ball with the 2nd unit. Westbrook is crazy good, top 10 maybe top 5 player but he is a scorer first and a distributor second. I just think he could add an element of efficieny to his game if he were off the ball more, much like how the Mavericks use Monta Ellis.

Although I think Rondo would fitin nicely in Dallas, I agree they don’t havethe assets to make his move.

OKC is not a good spot at all for Rondo if you ask me. Westbrook is a pg no matter what people are telling all the time and I would rather have Reggie coming of the bench than Rondo, not to mention Rondo won’t resign there for a spot in the 2nd unit.

The best fit might actually and still be the Kings but after seeing Malone gone without a replacement in hand Rondo won’t be pleased with a frontoffice like that. It will be interesting to see where he lands if the Celtics really want to part ways wt him.

I wouldn’t want Rondo coming off the bench but it’s more than fair to argue that he would fit well with the players the Thunder have. Imagine a fastbreak with Rondo leading the way, KD and Russ flying the wings and Ibaka trailing? A Rondo/Durant pick and roll with Russ on the weakside wing waiting to attack a recovering defense would be a beautiful sight.

The Kings may actually be the worst fit of all now for Rondo. They would have to give up one of McLemore and Stauskas, maybe both, which would hurt their spacing. They only really have Rudy on the wing and lack stretch big men. Rondo and Collison would be an awkward fit, too, on both ends of the floor.

Obviously I don’t think Rondo will end up in OKC but I think he, and a better coach, could turn the Thunder into championship favorites, not just the best in the West. And I think Rondo would bring Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka, and the rest of the Thunder’s young players games to another level (much like he would improve the Mavs) and that’s a scary thought.
