Great series, Indiana fought hard, but in the end they’re lacking in some areas but show a lot of promise with Turner and of course Paul George. I really hope Paul George stays with the Pacers because they’re so close to adding a few more pieces and some more experience to take it to the next level.

but I just don’t see the pacers getting anywhere right now. Paul should leave I don’t wanna see him waste his career building up a team when he’s where he needs to be already. Let turner develop with other young guys and have that team. Chase the ring

They did play the Cavs tough no doubt, 4-0 sweep seems a little rough.

I hope PG stays, but I understand if Larry trades him for some young guys like Ingram (LA) or Brown (BOS) + a little bit more to build with Turner.

If Larry takes one more swing at getting contender status next season I’m looking at Gordon Hayward and Paul Millsap as most desirable. I think Millsap more realistic get and he can be a big body experienced all-round PF that Indiana needs. Bring back Teague see if Gay willing to take a cheap contract coming off injury.

PG. Teague SG. George/Robinson SF. George/Gay PF. Millsap C. Turner with Stephenson and Young first off the bench.

How much money do the Pacers have?

I suppose if George isn’t on a massive deal, they might be able to throw some money around.

Problem is that any FA will want assurances that George is staying like Horford wanted from KD last year in OKC. They won’t get it from him – which means it’ll be hard to add any high-enders.

I totally agree, I am very skeptical about retaining PG. We have very little cap space if we extend Teague, so I’d expect us to wave Miles (Cost us nothing), trade Ellis with pick (Maybe for a low 1st early 2nd) and wave Jefferson (can turn this year into $2mil over 5 years).

Would create another $20-24mil off the books and maybe we convince Millsap to do a deal like David West, couple of years of good money but alow him option of leaving if PG don’t stay.

I doubt they’ll have to waive Miles. He has a player option on his deal & will probably opt out anyway. He was one of best shooters in the league this season. He’ll get way more than $5 million. Personally, I hope they’re able to keep him though due to his shooting.

I think a more realistic option to be waived is Allen. Could open up $4 million by declining his team option.

Question… How can they waive Jefferson & pay him only $2 million over 5 years? Stretch provision?

They’re not particularly close,  though. That’s the thing.

"Playing tough" isn’t really fitting if they got swept, and this season overall has really made me question Paul’s leadership. He’s probably gone, but even if he wants to stay, trading him might be the best option for everyone involved.

They’re nowhere near close. The only player that should surely be there out of those you’ve mentioned is Turner. Teague and Ellis can’t play together and neither are contending starters. Thad is a spark plug off the bench at best. PG deserves to be on a contender right now. They need to start building for the future and bringing in young talent, picks to support Turner is the start.

C.J McCollum, Moe Harkless and Portland’s 2 best picks this year(15,20) for Paul George and Monta Ellis. George would have to pick up his option.

      PORTLAND

      Lillard, Crabbe, George, Aminu, Nurkic

Napier, Turner, Vonleh, Davis + 26 Pick
