Sports Tears In Our BeersParticipantRicky, oh Ricky, what made you come around? Was it the fact that you realized that if you ever wanted to play in the NBA, you would have to go through MN. Did you finally realize DK was not going to trade you? I mean, he would have been fired on the spot if he did that. Is it the fact that global warming is making MN warmer every year? Either way, we welcome you here. We knew you would sign way back on May 4th, sportstearsinourbeers.blogspot.com/2011/05/ricky-rubio-to-sign-with-timberwolves.html, and we are glad you did.
Trust us, MN will welcome you with open arms. So, don’t worry about getting home sick. Who knows, maybe we can make a trade for Pau Gasol so he can help you out.

Andrew1984ParticipantYou guys must be really happy about getting a player who will give you 16 minutes a night, drop four dimes, go 1-for-7 from the field and shoot about 36 percent from the field for the year.

mds0549ParticipantI am glad that he signed before the draft and now they can concentrate on BPA whether that is a rookie or a vet in trade. We know that many Euros don’t have the same game in the NBA that they do overseas and we’ll see how Ricky translates to the NBA but at least we can stop wondering when that will be. The Wolves have a chance to get an infusion of talent and need to take advantage right now.

Sports Tears In Our BeersParticipantNow we just need to know who will be the coach. Is it Rambis? My guess is no. Looks like we are on the verge of having a draft without a coach again for the 2nd time in 3 years under DK. I’m happy he got Beasley and Rubio, but man, half the people on this site do a better job of running their 2K franchises.

Sports Tears In Our BeersParticipantWe wanted Mark Jackson (could have helped Rubio big time). Now where do we go? We need a "fired up" coach. Someone that won’t just sit there. This team is young. They need a college type coach. Someone that will get in their face and really coach them. Who would that be? I don’t know. Let’s call up Bob Knight, he doesn’t have anything going on.
