JSakes22ParticipantBeing an old school Knicks fan I loved Charles Oakley. I was about 5 when the Knicks made their run in 94 and this is when I fell in love with basketball. I remember watching him and Mase dominate the paint and they were really the corner stone of the team that year and the identity they brought. So needless to say, Oak isn’t a big fan of D’Antoni’s system and the current state of the Knicks. He also claims in this article that "Y’all should have tried to call me and talk to me, and maybe we could have gotten LeBron to New York. You went to Isiah [Thomas], and some of these other guys that don’t know the guy.”

TallmanNYCParticipantYep. I remember those Knicks days. That was before Dolan started screwing things up. A friend was in the Knicks locker room once (a girl we knew was dating Hubert Davis) and and he said he saw Oak walk by with six women, three under each arm! I still love the thought of that image.
But seriously, Oak has to realize why the Knicks won’t give him a job. When you are who you are because the entire world know you don’t give a sheeet and will beat the cr@p out of anyone, then you don’t get an executive level position. And as for Isiah Thomas, he is really cool and he agrees to be Dolan’s friend. That makes Dolan feel cool. Dolan owns the Knicks. End of story.
