dolla130Participantwith the up comming and all this talent in this up comming draft i think some of the good teams or good old teams could try and tank or should tank to try to get some of these players expecially if they were supposed to miss 20 to 30 games some teams that come to mind are
boston – the big 3 is getting older by the day and they need to start rebuilding
spurs- they need some youth and athletes
orlando if they think they cant keep howard
atlanta -they need some new blood
denver – they should tank because they need a player that has star potiental
hornets – with paul imo basically gone i think they should tank and try to get one of these young guys in the draft

Bmore_DCParticipanti see what your saying but i really doubt if those teams will TANK…
do you know how much extra money teams earn from making the playoffs??? its insane….im sure all these teams would LOVE to have a top pick and will do everything they can to get a top pick but tanking is out of the question.
i do think that one team that you mentioned in particular should blow the roster up and thats the hornets…
how many years are they going to over-acheive and not win it all? in fact, they have no chance to win it all with that roster, i really dont even understand how they make the playoffs!!! blow it up…trade chris paul for a top pick and get rid of all the bad contracts would be my suggestion…
and if orlando cant keep howard then see ^^^…and do what the hornets should.

rileymcshea3Participanthonestly if they Celtics dont make to the Eastern conference finals this year they HAVE to start rebuilding and do the opposite of what did they to get the Big 3.
Or maybe since Ray Allen and Kevin Garnet only have 1 year on there contracts they could maybe make a case to try and get Dwight. Maybe make a trade that would send Monta Ellis or Andre Iguodala for Paul Pierce and maybe Dwight will be interested in playing with a young group of players like Rajon Rondo ,Monta Ellis and Jeff Green. Now I know i would rather play for that team then for his Magic.

frogmanParticipantI wouldn’t like to be the guy who goes up to Kevin Garnett and says "Yeah mate don’t think we have a chance in hell of winning anything this year so if you could purposely play like crap that would be just dandy"

NO EZ BUCKETSParticipantas a celtics fan I would love it if they somehow got ellis. But I don’t really see the celtics trading pierce, or any of their big names for that matter. Rondo is the cornerstone of their franchise, and danny ainge would never trade any of the big three away. And they’ll need more than just jeff green and a couple role players to trade for ellis, iggy, or any other top notch player.

river09Participanthow many more years will kg pierce and allen be affective? boston must start looking at jeff green and rondo as their future or they will pay the price for years… Personally I think the spurs started showing their age this year I could see them to start and drop off dramatically (especially if the injuries keep coming)… I agree with Bmore_DC on the hornets I’ve always been surprised at their ability to make the playoffs with that roster…

aamir543ParticipantLook, if tanking gives my team a 25% chance to get Drummond, than I am all for it. You saw what happened with San Antonio, they were a solid team, got hit by injuries, did really bad, and got Timmy.
