What do you think the Warriors will do with the 6th pick?

They’ve been projected to take Greg Monroe for a long time, but apparently he had a bad workout there. I don’t see how that can be a smoke screen considering that there haven’t been very many warrior rumors about them liking someone other than udoh. Ekpe Udoh however, is a guy that nobody would trade up for. He has bust written all over him and is a typical warriors prospect. However, I don’t believe the warriors are dumb enough to take a guy like Udoh over Aminu and Monroe even if Monroe didn’t have a great workout there. I mean was Udoh really that amazing in his workout? And Aminu seems like the perfect fit for the Warriors so them passing on him would shock me. In conclusion, I am not sure as to what the Warriors will do, but I think they should take Al-Farouq Aminu over Ekpe Udoh if they really don’t like Monroe.

The Warriors will not draft Udoh, they will go for Aminu. I am absolutely positive. I don’t what you are talking about Udoh, He is no bust. He is a flat out hard worker. Tons of teams like him. Utah does, Detroit does, Indy does, so does Minny. To many teams like Udoh to much and will try and get him if Warriors snab him at 6 which I highly doubt because of the Maggette trade. Why would the warriors trade him and get practically nothing in return? They must love Aminu and plan to take him at 6 and insert him into the starting lineup in Magettte’s place.
What this site says about Udoh is completely wrong. Did you watch him in the tourney he was amazing, How can that type of player be a bust??? Udoh is no bust. he can play. I compare him more to a young Nene minus the injuries.

I think they will still go after Monroe (if cousins is not avalible) because gm Larry riley and don Nelson were both still high on him, and they said that they are gonna go big. Also some one as quick (for his size) and good a passer as him will fit well in nelli-ball he can give good outlets for fastbreaks or work in the post draw defenders and pass out for a 3. The warriors would be stupid to pass on him.

And if you’ve seen his interview, he looks lost, out of place, and unable to string two words together. Here’s the link, since I don’t know how to embed things.

I agree that Udoh is actually a good prospect, I just don’t think the Warriors should take him. Udoh is a hardworker, and he’s already a decent defender…he’s actually not bad on the offensive end either. According to draftexpress.com,
“Udoh ranks 5th in our sample in both jump shots per-game (3.4) and spot-up PPP at 1.08. He also used an impressive 14.1% of his offensive possessions in isolation situations, which would have ranked him right around average amongst small forwards. Udoh’s 0.831 points-per possession in isolation situations would have ranked him 8th amongst small forwards, and is a prime example of what he can bring to the table at the next level as a mismatch threat.”
“Offensively, one thing we didn’t touch on when we profiled Udoh in December was his passing game, something that became more prominent for Baylor’s offense as the season went on. Udoh dished out an impressive 2.7 assists per game, operating mostly out of both the high and low post, showing good court vision and the ability to hit both cutters and shooters for open looks. He shows a good feel for the game in general, something that’s become more apparent as the game slowed down for him as the year went on.”

I mean, he’s not going to be the next superstar, but I’m quite high on him…Utah at the 9 or Indiana at the 10 would be better fits, though.

I think people are referring to Chad Ford’s rumor that we’re high on Udoh if Cousins and Favors are off the board. It’s based on the fact that Monroe supposedly had an awful workout.

Still, I agree with you…the best fit for the Warriors is definitely Monroe, Cousins, or Favors, whichever falls to us.

I just wanted to disagree with whoever said Udoh would be a bust…I think in the right situation, like in Utah or Detroit, he could be good. Just not with the Warriors.
