chocboywndrParticipantI am not one to over react but am I the only one that thinks this team is underperforming? I know they have had injuries but they have lost quite a few games that either way they should have won. I think they have several issues.
1) I love Curry but he is fun to watch the range he has is crazy, however he turns the ball over a lot. He is barely 2 to 1 and is averaging 4.2 turnovers a game. I am also not sure a team can win with there point guard leading the teams in shots per game. I mean there is and exception to every rule but especially with all the scorers and open style the play I think he could do better job making guys around him better. His defence also leaves much to be desired.
2) Much as the name the splash brothers is fun. I think a starting line up of Curry, Iggy, Barnes, Lee and Bogut is better. First you will get better defence with Iggy taking best wing and Barnes next best perimiter player. Barnes is prob there best post player. The game against OKC when Russ hit that amazing shot they couldn’t stop Barnes. If you put big on him he is to quick if you put small he is to big Tabo is one of best defenders in the league and he couldn’t control him.
3) If you live by the 3 you will die by three. Bogut is good enough to get touches in the offence and he is a good passer. As great as it is that they can shoot the lights out. They need to go inside more to prepare for the playoffs. You need alernate plan for when guys are cold and Bogut physically looks really good so take advantage.
4) lastly and simply. If these guys do not learn to play hard on defence its never going to work. If Jackson can’t get these guys to play 48 mins hard then all the talent will be wasted because this year they are not sneaking up on anybody. Everyone knows what they are capable of and they get everyones A game.
What are your thoughts?

Too coolParticipantI couldnt agree more with your assertions. When Iggy went down, their defensive statistics spiraled down to the bottom of the league and on the offensive side of the ball, it forced Steph to have more responsibilities that he could handle. However, I believe this team will bounce back and start to get in a groove and end up a 4-6 seed in the West. They must improve on the two things you stated: Turnovers and consistency on defense, especially on the perimeter. They will be just fine

KHAM83ParticipantI think they need to pair a more defensive sg next to Curry. Keep in mind, in a couple years they probably cannot afford Thompson.
4 team trade
Warriors gets Afflalo abd Courtney Lee
Denver gets Thompson
Orlando gets Faried
Boston gets Jermain O’Neal expiring contract

torontoraptors10ParticipantGolden State Warriors – one of the most over rated basketball team in the league (along with Clippers) who make flashy plays and fun to watch basketball but when it matters they won’t show up.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAs Barkley said last night, they need to play inside out.
David Lee is an All-Star, a top PF, and one of the more polished bigs in the L. I think GS completely forgot that Bogut, at one point, averaged nearly 16PPG and is a highly skilled big on the offensive end.
Instead, they’re chucking up three’s and hoping Bogut and Lee grab the offensive rebounds.
As much as I like Thompson, he should not be averaging more shots per game than David Lee. Lee and Bogut, combined, are taking just under 19 shots per game, Thompson alone is taking 16, including 7 threes.
Bogut should be taking about 9-10 shots while Lee takes about 16-17 shots per game. If they do, the threes will open up and the points will pile on.

MopgrassParticipantThey played their best basketball in playoffs last year when Harrison Barnes was forced to be the PF. I think that’s a big key for them.
