So the kid that Euro baller was babbling about back in 2011 has finally stepped on USA soil once and for all and is attending high school right outside of Philadelphia. I am really looking forward to see how good he does against Elite USA competition around the same age. Looking at film from his U16 international ball he looks pretty on par with some of the bigs in America for the 2015 class such as Ivan Rabb,Diamond Stone,Thomas Bryant and so on. Seems like he has improved steadily and many people label him the best 1997 born European prospect still to this date even as other kids have started to emerge. This should be interesting.

Not to root against someone but I would rather not have Euroballer be right, it would give him way to much thread ammunition.

On a random note: I would love to see anyone with a name as awesome as Diamond Stone become an NBA player, so much marketing potential.

After what happened to his ego after Adetokoubo, I’d rather this kid just be a solid D-1 4 year player and for him to go back to Europe and play there. But I guess that might just make Euroballer say that NBA is racist again..

Papagiannis is legit. After playing with grown men for the past yr or so, HS ball in America should be a cake walk for him. He’ll just have to get over the initial shock of seeing how none of his teammates know how to feed the post.

I expect him to be a Top 5 ranked player when the ESPN Super 60 gets updated

Do you think more top kids from overseas will follow in his footsteps and come over to the US for high school ball, this is assuming he blows up in the rankings, plays big time college ball, gets drafted high etc etc

Might have to go watch this kid play a few games, I live like an hour away from West Chester.

I think he will blow up in the rankings. He is on par with all the best big’s from USA. Ben simmons is an overseas kid that came over also in the 2015 class who is a top 10 kid and projected high draft pick for the 2016 draft. I think if these two kids have some success with coming over to the states and finishing high school here more kids from overseas will follow suit.

He made his debut at the greek pro league (which is no joke as far as the competition…) at age 14 (!!!!) when he already was 7 ft tall. The kid is solid, no sh*t
