Sacremento will be elite in 3 years and book it. Cousins and Whiteside compliment each other PERFECTLY. One is not very athletic but is strong as hell with a great post game and is a good rebounder. Whiteside is more of a mid range guy who is a shot blocker and is a defensive stud. What Whiteside doesn’t have Cuz does and vice versa and throw in Reke down the road and it’s scary

Udoh will be a center. Hear me out, GSW is looking for a 3 and Biedrins is basically gone after hearing how Nellie and Riley have been talking about our big situation lately. He is 6’10 240 with long arms and massive shoulders. He says he’s going to get up to 250 which makes him similar in size to guys like Horford, Okafor and Thompson. I feel as though size wise he is Horford, offensively Thompson and defensively Okafor but more athletic with less upside.

Ryan Richards will take over for Duncan and be a star after Timmy is gone. Best situation for him easily, he gets to learn from Papa and Timmy? Dear lord he will max out his potential.

Derrick Favors will be an all star in 3 years and be the center of the Nets. So much potential, so much work ethic and is more NBA ready than given credit for. Can play center and PF. Will start over Yi right away and be on the all rookie 1st team

Paul George will make Granger’s job in Indy less stable. Not saying he will be on the block but it’s hard to imagine George playing the 2 his whole career

Aminu will not play much his rookie year. The most raw player in the draft IMO. The Clips will likely sign a veteran SF, not a star but someone. And Aminu will have a long road ahead of him.

Ibaka will start over Aldrich. Ibaka can be an all star in a year or 2. Aldrich is just a solid role player at best, but he will get playing time

favors over lopez? George over granger? why not just play favors and lopez together just like everyone agrees could be the most dominant 4/5 combo in the east? that’s nonsensical. and granger and george i see as 2 players cast from the same mold, the difference being granger has met his potential and george can only hope to get as good as granger. so overall those 2 predictions are the only 2 i have to take issue with. Sac is gonna be scary if everything comes together. i was reading somewhere where a guy was saying how the kings will be like the antichrist version of the blazers, since they have kind of a 70’s raiders theme going with all the no bull shit players like cousins, dalembert, evans,

    some of my thoughts:

Kings handled their business and I think they are gonna be much improved in short time. But it’s hard to jump all over their nuts for those two picks. Everyone knew cousins was a top 5 pick, there were really 5 players in this draft that seperated themselves from the rest and the kings were lucky enough to land the 5th pick so they were able to stand back and wait for whoever fell in their laps. And as for whiteside, most had him going first round but he apparently was too much a gamble for teams. Kings got to pick him up for free in the second with no pressure, again, another good pick, but one any person on this site could have made.

Lakers did good getting ebanks. Keep in mind if ebanks proves to be a steal, he was a part of the pau trade, just wanted to throw that out there.

For all those ripping on landry fields, what makes him so much worse then any other second rounders? Is it just becasue internet sites didnt tell you how good he was so he must be a scrub?

You guys all made great points….

    Here’s how I felt about the draft…

Big ups to Jordan Crawford for getting drafted in the 1st round. As a Detroit native, I’m happy to see someone from the same city make it and I think he’ll have a great career if he puts in a lot of hard work on defense because we all know how great of a scorer he is.

I’m not really sure what Golden State was thinking by drafting Ekpe Udoh. I understand the fact that Udoh brings a much needed defensive presence to the run-and-gun Warriors, but at #6, GS should have used that pick to draft a more well-rounded impact player especially at the SF position. I know #6 was a bit of reach for most of the SFs except Aminu, but drafting Udoh only added to the cluster of PFs the team already has.

Sam Presti continued to show his draft genius by packaging his picks to acquire Aldrich. They filled a big-time need which changes their whole identity come playoff time. OKC was bruised in the post against L.A. in the playoffs and if anything, having Aldrich would’ve meant a world of difference with his defensive nature and savvy.

I’m kinda disappointed in my own city (Detroit Pistons) for not trading up to get DeMarcus Cousins. Granted, I’ll definitely take Greg Monroe as is, but we really need someone to man the middle and Big Ben cannot do that consistently anymore. The Pistons may live to regret it, but if Monroe becomes the big man that the Pistons desperately need, that regret may not even matter. In a positive regard, I am happy that Terrico White slipped to us at #36. Him and Stuckey could grow to be a very good combo guard tandem.

I can think of at least half a dozen GMs who probably would have managed to screw it up had they been sitting where the Kings were in that draft.

Also, I’m from NorCal and I saw several Stanford games this year & I still think Fields was a bad pick, especially that early in the 2nd round. Don’t get me wrong, he was a good college player and great for the Cardinal, but someone (Chad Ford?) wrote, and I have to agree, that the D-League is loaded with guys like him. There’s just nothing that special about him. I may be wrong, but I expect him to end up in Europe or the D-league sooner than later. At best, he’s a deep bench player. I know you love him llperez, and I admire you taking up for him, but I gotta disagree.

we’ll see with fields. WHat weakness stands out to you about him? He’s got size and athleitcism for a sf. He actually proved it on the court with solid productino. “There are guys like him in the D=League” you can say that about any second rounder coming out. MOst second rounders dont make it, but I’ll give my shot to a guy who has seen his scoring average jump from 4ppg as a sophomore, to 12 ppg as a junior to 22 ppg as a senior all while being the center of attention from defenses. In 2 games aginast quincey pondexter this year, fields averaged 27ppg against him and everybody says pondexter was a 1st rounder.
