is going to be a war.  I feel like there has been a volcano brewing with flops and the complaining to the refs.  I would not be surprised if there is a fight tomorrow night.  Tensions will be so high with the Heat facing elimination and the Celtics trying to close out.  I am really interested to see if the Heat can really dig down deep in this game.  Magic Johnson was talking about how the Heat lacked heart and an ability to get down and dirty.  Either way, game 6 will be epic.

Funny that Magic said that, because if one has read the Larry Bird and Magic Johnson book written by Jackie MacMullan, they will have seen that people were questioning Magic, who albeit had won a couple championship rings before than. Fine, Magic has an absolute point, lol. I still know that LeBron is not playing his awful Boston 2010 series basketball. In 2008, he took Boston to a 7th game in the 2nd round with 32/12/6. Than, in Game 7, he scored 45 points in a very close 97-92 loss. Paul Pierce had 41 points and played excellent ball. Still, have a feeling that LeBron is going to be doing work to keep his team alive and that Paul Pierce is not going to be putting up what he used to be capable of.

I agree with the part that Lebron’s going to do what he can to keep his team alive but in the end of the day Paul Pierce will be the one to deliver the KO as we have already seen many times before. Pierce may not put up those numbers anymore but when the games on the line, Pierce is as clutch as anyone in delivering late game heriocs, which I’m still astonished by, because his shot is as flat as it gets.

Yeah KG is going to go nuts in this game, he’s been pumped since Lebron waved that ball in his face and laughed in game 1, but he can sense the weakness now, I cannot wait for this game.

There was a post not too long ago and I wrote I thought Paul Pierce was still arguably the most complete small forward in basketball. Not the best small forward, but just still the small forward with the least amount of holes in his game. I got negged up something proper. But let’s revisit it…

Can he shoot the trey ball? Yes. Does he have a consistent in between/mid-range game? Yes. Can he put the ball on the floor and create his own offense? Yes. Does he move well without the ball? Yes. Can he catch and shoot (without having to dribble it first)? Yes. Can he still get to the line? Yes. Does he make his free-throws? Yes. Can he post up on the low block? Yes. Can he draw a double team and make the right pass? Yes. What about the mid-post and high-post? Yes. Does he have a go-to move? Yes. Does he make the extra pass? Yes. Does he want the ball and rise to the occassion with the game on the line? Yes. Can he defend? Yes. Can he rebound? Yes.

Despite the fact he’s gotten up there in age, Paul Pierce still has no holes in his game. He’s a complete player.

They even mentioned in last nights game that Joe Johnson said that Paul Pierce had the best footwork in the NBA.
