Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantGame three is more important to which team? Miami or Dallas?

Scottoant93ParticipantI think its equal, If mavs win it gets them more confidence(hopefully they learn from 2006 though), On the other hand Heat need to win on the road now

KayjayParticipantIs important to either team. I knew Miami would drop one or two, but not that one lol. Either way game 3 is a chance for either team to make a statement.

TyrekeJonesParticipantIt is of equal importance for both teams, anytime you have a chance to go up a game in a series, it gives you an advantage and confidence.

PlatypusParticipanti hope dallas wins it so espn can shut up about miami… they talk about the heat so much that they need to just rename espn to WeLoveTheHeat WLTH…. also i took the foul language out

Memphis MadnessParticipantIt’s a big game for both teams. If Dallas wins then they can close out the series in Dallas (the Mavs have a deeper team and the better bench, and role players/bench guys play better at home). Or if the split games 4 and 5 they would still be up 3-2 heading back to Miami with two chances to steal a game and win a championship.
If the Heat win then they retake home court advantage and would at worst be down 3-2 going back to Miami for the final two games.

nath09ParticipantIt’s huge for both teams. At 1 all neither team can afford to lose with the weapons the opposition has. Both teams are so good yet so different in where they hold advantages that every game is must win because you just never know whats arouns the corner, as we saw with 5 minutes to go in the 4th today.
Having said that, with no bench and now no home court advantage Miami will be in large trouble if they don’t win.

mikeyvthedonParticipantNot that Dallas will necessarily win the series if they win Game 3, but Dallas just took home court from them. Incredibly important game for Miami as they are on the road for 3 games straight, so obviously it is more important for Miami to win this game. They need a different attitude and intensity in this game, and hopefully they will continue moving the ball around the entire time to create space rather than dribbling out the shot clock and settling for poor shots. Whenever they stray from what got them the lead in the first place, that is when they let teams back in the game. It has happened all season to them, and they have usually been able to counter fairly well. But, if you look at who needs this game more, it has to be the road team. Dallas still has two more home games regardless, and the series has swayed to their favor after their monster comeback last night.

ghrghrParticipantGame 3 is more important to Dallas.
While Miami just has to win 1 of 3 to take back home court advantage, Dallas will have to win the 3 home games to keep it. The pressure is on both teams, but game 3 is a must win for Dallas, not Miami.

MuggsyParticipantConsidering Mavs have the next 3 home games, Heat would need to win game 3 to instantly take back home court advantage. However if the Mavs win game 3…they’re up 2-1 and still have 2 more home games in a row, so if Mavs pulls out game 3 they have a nice commanding lead.
It’s equally important.

StewieStoneyParticipantIn the 11 years since they went to the 2-3-2 format, with the first two games split, the winner of game 3 wins it all….
You tell me who this is more important for…

IndianaBasketballParticipantYou can argue for both teams, but the Heat don’t want to go down 2-1 with the next two games in Dallas. At least if Dallas goes down 2-1, they know they have the comfort of playing in front of their home crowd for the next two games.
