A fantastic game by both teams, unfortunately for the Heat, they just could not stop Dirk and Terry, Shawn Marion had a solid game as well. Towards the end of the game the Mavs stepped up their defensive pressure and started knocking down shots like they have the entire postseason. Down by 13 points at the 6 minute mark, thats when the vets of this Mavericks team stepped up and decided that "hey if we lose this game in all likelihood we are going to get eliminated." Then got caught on a snag that I thought might actually thwart theyre comeback when Chalmers hit that wide open 3, and in the clutch the ball went to Dirk and he won the game for the Mavs, congratulations to them and the Heat for such a hard fought game.

I actually think Chalmers hitting the three worked in their favour; it put the game in their hands with a full shot-clock and the best chance to avoid overtime, which I think the Heat would have won. I always rather be trying to score with a one-possession game than defend.

 Total melt down for the Heat though. They just continually failed to score. Those deep threes by Lebron were terrible. I think the Heat would have been better served if Lebron had stopped thinking and just drove to the basket and at least thrown up some terrible shot from 10 feet away. That would have been better than bad shots from 25 feet.

What a game for Dirk Nowitzki, what an outstading clutch player. The heat couldn’t stop terry and nowitzki as they rallied in the fourth quarter with a 22-5 run.Good game for Nowitzki.

Miami took too many "hero shots" You can’t milk the clock in basketball,you have to keep scoring,or atleast running your offense. Dallas finally got some jumpers to fall and some consecutive defensive stops and rebounds. This is what makes good series, now its Miami’s turn to make adjustments ad respond to a L. The big question for them will be if their role players will produce on the road. Because Dallas will shoot a lil better at home. Like i said in my worthless pre series prediction Wade,Bron, and Bosh are ready, i have my doubts about the others still, because they have to score now,not just make a shot here or there. Dallas took advantage,now its on them to do it again in game 3. That game to me is gonna be huge!!!!

Miami was stupid there offense was terrible after a big lead should’ve kept running pick n rolls with Wade.

Spoelstra got outcoached by Carlisle who was smart to go small.

Why is overrated Bosh on Dirk, once again Bosh does nothing esp. in crunch time.

Dallas doesn’t get rattled when there down big they’ve comeback in the playoffs plenty.

Now they broke through and ended the Finals losing streak esp. on the road they should be okay.

Not sure how many games Miami is going to win with Bosh, Haslem and Joel Anthony scoring 14 pts combined.

Also if Lebron scores as many as Marion its doubtful Miami wins.  18 turnovers for Dallas not likely to happen again.  Marion has kept them close and obviously Dirk hit clutch shots.

If not for the missed coverage by Terry on Chalmers and that bail out foul call on Chandler when Lebron drove the Heat wouldn’t have scored after going up 15.  Heat giving up possesion on offense ultimately cost them the game and gave Dallas life in the series.  I still like the Mavs in 6.

The Mavs held the Big Three to less than 70 points (68) and they won the bench scoring battle as well as the rebounding battle. They also did something else that I thought they needed to do: they contained LeBron and Bosh, and Wade wasn’t able to beat them by himself. Marion played great and Haywood nearly marched Haslem’s effort: 2 points(1-2) and 0 rebounds for Haywood. 2 points (1-3) and 3 rebounds for Haslem.

I disagree that Wade "couldn’t beat them by himself", I think Spoelstra decided to put the ball in Lebron’s hands down the stretch and it backfired. If Wade had stayed in attack mode like a franchise player on any other team would Miami wins this game. It’s just because Wade eased off the trigger that Dallas were able to come back.

Lebron came up small in this game as much hype as he gets he is the pippen to wades jordan im sorry but one thing jordan never did was let 15 point leads slip and start chuxking fadeaway threes this guy will never be better than jordan but he might end up with more ring because of the heat but chalk finals mvp up to dwade. Also the offense spoelstra ran at the end of rhe game was terribpe you see better sets at streetball games.

miami’s run had to stop sometime, 5 wins in a row deep in the playoffs is impressive.

it’s just shocking to me that lebron still doesnt get that holding the ball at the top for 24 seconds just doesnt work

for him. move the ball and move without it and the championship will follow.

anyways games 3 and 5 are the must wins. we can have a serious chat after the next game.

 The 2 – 3 – 2 format was put in place to cut down on the cross country travel between the Celtics and Lakers. It was considered too draining to switch every game down the stretch. But now that the games are so spread apart (next game is Sunday), I don’t know how big a factor extra travel would be.

Miami’s main problem was that they weren’t aggressive enough. I mean they have LBJ and Wade, they just have to drive and somehow try to get to the line and I think star players like them will get calls. Adding to this I think after three bad possesions with Lebron having the ball, Wade should have gotten it. It can happen to the best, I think James was just a little to over confident after hitting everything against the Bulls, in Game 1 and starting 2-2 in Game 2.

Anyways it is a great day to be a Mavs fan. What a comeback, I thought this was lost and now we have the advantage now we just have to protect homecourt. Sounds easier said than done though. I think Miami will come out aggressive and since their star players they will be tough to stop and WILL get calls. They’re still a way better team.

The Heat got what they deserved with their premature celebration. These guys cry in the locker room when they lose a game, but like to rub it in people faces when they are winning. Too much celebration too early, great outcome.

Chris Bosh is the culprit on Miami’s side. He shot 4-16 (12 pts) in addition to playing abysmal awful defense on Nowitzki in the final seconds. Wade was in beast mode though (36 pts). Bibby shot well. I thought Lebron played well upto the 4th quarter when he started launching fadeaway 3s. He did have 5 TOs though. 

I was really impressed with Tyson Chandler all game. He was grabbing offensive rebounds and was their most consistent player all game. Jason Kidd had an off game. Glad that he made-up for it in the 4th quarter with the 3. I was also impressed with Stevenson’s defense. Yea Wade scored 36 but he was like glue on him… Dwanye just hit some ridiculous shots and a lot of his scoring was on Terry. Nowitzi struggled until the 4th when he got into god-mode and bested Wade. I’m hoping the momentum carries into Dallas. The Mavs really need to win their home games to put the pressure on Miami.

down 2-0.  Gota give the Mavs credit, looked like it was over when Wade n Bron were acting all hard when the game was far from over.  Looks like the table has turned.  Series is over, Mavs in 6.

Not sure that the Heat get 23 combined points from Bibby and Chalmers in Dallas.

Keys for the Mavs are still to hold The Big Three to 65-70 or less (in Game 2 they had 68.  If Wade made that last heave they would have scored 71 and won the game), win bench scoring by 10 + and keep the rebounding battle even.

Key for the Mavs is not letting Miami go on big runs and stop turning the ball over which leads to easy pts in transition.  Make the Heat earn it in the half court, if Wade and Lebron hit crazy shots all game long at least they would’ve earned it.  I wouldn’t double and leave Bibby, Chalmers open either if anything leave Joel Anthony open he doesn’t shoot it unless he has a layup or dunk.

How will Lebron get more rings than Jordan because he’s playing with Wade.  Yeah the Eastern Conf. is weak but teams like the Bulls, Pacers, Knicks, Nets and 76ers should all get better.  Won’t be easy winning when your team is so weak off the bench and lacking quality big men.  Bosh is soft and shoots jumpers he’s no superstar.  People keep thinking everyone will come to Miami in free agency.

By the way Lebron is 27 end of this year he’s not a young kid anymore yeah he has plenty of years left.  However he won’t be playing till he’s 38 or 40 not at his pace considering how big he is and the minutes he’s logged.  This isn’t like Kobe who won 3 rings by the time he was 23.

You really think Lebron will win 7 rings in the next 8-10 years really be serious.
