valentineI think that would be awesome for both teams.
Charlotte gets their center of the future in E. Kanter.
and Wolves get their badly needed starting SG in a solid Henderson, and can pick Jonas V. and stash him away till next year.
What do you all think of that?

delfamParticipantconsidering this is only like a 2 or 3 player draft, why would Minnesota trade out of the top 2 just for Gerald Henderson? Plus they just drafted Wesley Johnson.

PulseGlazerParticipantYeah, not a good idea. And apparently the Cats might not own their pick next year, so they can’t even really sweeten the pot that way.

FDAPOGerald Henderson is a scrub. You don’t trade potential all stars for scrubs.

radartradewhy is everyone forgetting the #9 pick. plenty of top quality will be around like Jonas, Biyombo, Jimmer, Kemba etc..

mikeyvthedonParticipantWell at least I thought I was, but I think this is just an account meant to span. But, if you added an "e" and took away an "a" from "radartrade", it would have be an anagram for "retaarrded". That is what this trade is. I know, it is awful to say that, and I apologize for offending anyone, but this would be a weak trade. I could see why Charlotte would want the second pick, as it would help them, but I have no clue why the Timberwolves would be happy having Gerald Henderson and the 9th as compensation. They already have Wayne Ellington, who is basically Gerald Henderson lite, and than they seem to be working on Wesley Johnson as a two. So, horrible idea if you are Minnesota.

PulseGlazerParticipantPoor Charolette. I’m not entirely sure they have anyone who could be a top 8 player in a championship team (Jackson if he played his role, Ty if he could stay healthy, and maybe DJ, but I’m not sold on any) and, worse, have no one anyone else in the league seems to really value. Cho has his work cut out for him. He needs to call the Kahns and Wallace’s of the world daily and try to get a steal.

mikeyvthedonParticipantI guess you do not remember, but in 2003, when the Spurs won the championship, they started S-Jax on the wing, and he was their 3rd leading scorer behind Timmy and Tony Parker. Plus, I believe if you put Boris Diaw in the right situation, he could be a rotation player for a contender. But, I do see what you are saying, and the Bobcats are pretty weak sauce.
How about that Gerald Wallace trade? They get Joel Przybilla (who is a FA), Sean Marks, Dante Cunningham, the 19th pick this year (from New Orleans) and a 2013 first round pick (from the Blazers, who I feel will still be a play-off team by 2013 barring unforeseen injury to LaMarcus Aldridge and Gerald Wallace). I never realized how awesome Gerald Wallace was until he was on the Blazers, but he is a grinder, hard to find players like him. Good luck to the Bobcats in finding his replacement, but I highly doubt it comes through that trade, and I do not know of FA’s that will come in and do what Gerald does on a nightly basis.

PulseGlazerParticipantHey, how old was S-Jax that year? And what did the Spurs do with him immediately after winning? How old is he now? And what’s his salary? I like Jackson, but come on.
This team should pray for Kawhi. Kawhi and Ty Thomas are the beginnings of a strong defensive identity, and this is a team’s problems that aren’t going to be solved right away, so them both being young helps.

jonus grumbyParticipanti’ll find them. I saw them and seem to recall that if Charlotte is really bad Bulls likely will not see the pick until ’15.

Sports Tears In Our BeersParticipantIt’s not a horrible idea. But with #9, why not make a reach and take Bismack? He fits a huge need for the pups.

jonus grumbyParticipantBulls receive the Bobcats’ 2012 first-round pick (top 14 protected in 2012, top 12 protected in 2013, top 10 protected in 2014, top 8 protected in 2015, unprotected in 2016) (Tyrus Thomas trade 02-18-10)
My bad. Looks like 2016 if Charlotte is really bad.

PulseGlazerParticipantI’d be reasonably surprised if Bismack is there at 9.
And as for the Bulls… not bad at all. That’s an asset that a poor team can really use and be willing to give the Bulls a solid player for down the road.

B FreeParticipantI could see it happening in 2015 with the Bobcats accidently winning a few to many games or getting shafted during the lottery.
