    Memphis pre-Gay trade 29-16 / Memphis post-Gay trade 27-10

    Toronto pre-Gay trade 16-30 / Toronto post-Gay trade 18-18

From the looks of the deal both teams won in this trade last season.

When Giannis Antetokounmpo is off the court, the Bucks have been outscored by 236 points on the season.  When Giannis is on the court, the Bucks have outscored their opponents by 11 points.  Last night he was +12 in 33 minutes.  In the 15 minutes he was on the bench, the Bucks got outscored by 23 points

Does the Gay thing counts even the games played this season? In that case have the games played before Gay got traded to Sacramento been taken away from the total? After that trade Toronto has been pretty good.

By the way, since we’re talking about players, stats and lineups, some interesting things from nba.com nerdvana.

    1) Do you think Kevin Love is important for the T-Wolves? Well to put it in numbers: with him on the court Minnesota outscores opponents by 5.8 points per 100 possessions (108.8-103), shooting with 54.6% TS%, grabbing 51.8% of the rebounds available, with 17.5 assists per 100 possessions, ending 13.4% of their possessions with a turnover. Without Love they are getting outscored by 10.6 (!!!) points per 100 possessions (91.0-101.7). The other numbers: 45.2 TS%, 49.2 Reb%, 14 ast ratio, 15.1 TO ratio. I guess is helping is team, somehow…

    2) In the last two days two different player rankings thread have been created. The first one was a top 10 positional ranking, the other a Nba top 20 ranking. As far as I’ve seen nobody mentioned Nowitzki among the top 20 players and nobody had him higher than the 6th spot for power forwards. I don’t wanna argue that, since I’m not good making rankings, but I doubt people realize how good he is for the Mavericks (and we’re talking about a playoff team in the Western Conference). It seems like, since his basic stats (especially rebounding numbers) are lower and he’s older people tend to assume he’s declining and he’s not that good, just a great shooter and a very good scorer but not much else. Well, he has similar numbers to Kevin Love’s. When he’s on the court Dallas scores 108.8 points per 100 possessions and allows 102.7 points per 100 possessions. When he’s off those numbers are respectively 100.1 and 109.1. Also assists, rebounds, TS% and TO numbers are better with Dirk on the floor. Funny to see how he has a positive impact on D and that’s a constant trend over the last few years. I guess many overlooks how Dirk has grown in his old age as a team defender thanks to his big body, length and IQ.

    3) Andrew Bynum has been suspended indefinitely for "detrimental conduct". The Cavs still haven’t made it public what Bynum has done, but one could look at on/off numbers and think his performance on the court might have been enough to justify the sanction. With him on the court the Cavs score just 93 points per 100 possessions with 48 TS% and they give up 104.8 points. That’s a -11.8 net. While it’s true that the Cavs suck as a team, without him they’ve been bad, but not that much: 100.6 points scored per 100 possessions (52.1 TS%) vs 103.7 allowed. That’s definitely detrimental.
