     #FreeJamesYoung #FreeMylesTurner #FreeAdreianPayne uhhh and a few more

These are just some of the guys that I would love to see get more burn.

Myles Turner has been getting more minutes this month and even had a 25 point game against Denver. He was a highly rated prospect coming out of high school and the Pacers don’t have much of a big man presence, I really want to see more of Turner.

Adreian Payne can’t get a break. When he was drafted by the Hawks I was personally scratching my head, just didn’t seem like a fit. Once he was traded to the Timberwolves and got some playing time I was lie "hell yeah, another Izzo guy is about to break out". Well they got the #1 draft pick and picked Karl Towns so good-bye playing to for Payne. Unfortunately I think the only way to get more playing time is if he is traded, the Suns are thin in the front court and they need to move Morris. A trade around Morris for Payne and pieces would make sense.

James Young needs to be traded to…..Cleveland. A player with his shooting skill set would be quite a beautiful thing to see on the floor with LeBron James. Young is great at running transition and spotting up for a 3 point shot, he doesn’t have the need to play with the ball and create for himself as long as someone is giving him great passes and open looks like LeBron could.

Markieff Morris is another guy who we saw last year can BALL, not an all-star level player but if you’re a playoff team you would love to have this guy coming off your bench, good luck getting him. Sounds like the Suns want a kings ransom for this guy, especially since he has a very friendly contract.

Tyson Chandler? Is it weird I have him on here? I just can’t watch him on a bad Suns team. He gets playing time obviously but the Suns are actually terrible, I just want them to trade him back to Dallas or somewhere that he can keep winning the rest of his career.

Honorable mention: Kelly Oubre until the middle of December he wasn’t getting any playing time but since then he has been getting minutes and actually had a fistful of very good games since then.

I loved what KJ brought to Philly and he was getting playing time but he made it clear he didn’t want to be there. Which turns out to be a horrible career decision. He gets traded half way through a good rookie year and while he did end up getting 10 mil over 3 years from Houston. After 3 and 1/2 seasons of riding the bench in Houston what’s his next contract going to look like?

He better hope he gets traded or starts getting playing time by next season.

I wouldn’t blame him for the decision he made. Initially it was the right call. He wasn’t willing to do a longterm deal with the 76ers for a very team friendly contract and opted for the chance of making more money. He ended up getting a better deal at 3 years and 10 million with the 3rd being a player option. He’s still in the league and getting paid. The problem is he is not getting on the court, but at least he is healthy.

As crazy as it seems, it makes me think there was some kind of deal that went down between the two teams. It wouldn’t be the first time teams have tried to blackball a guy or teach one a lesson. He needs to get on the court to improve though. It doesn’t matter how much work he might be doing on his own or what’s going on in practice if he never sees the court.

I want to see Jordan Mickey get some minutes with the Celtics.  In December he was the d-league player of the month where he averaged 19.6pts 10.5rebs 5.3blks and even had a triple double with 13pts/13rebs/10blks.  He’s worked hard to improve his offensive game while also leading the d-league in blocks per game and I think he deserves an opportunity with the main squad.

As a Lakers fan, I say free Brandon Bass. I’ve always liked his game and think he is a great role player but he is just wasting away with this Lakers team and is clearly not going to be a part of their future.  Trade him to a contender please. And please take Nick young while your at it.

I would like to see Mitch McGary log in some more minutes because in the D-League he has shown great improvement and it would be interesting to see if it translates to the NBA. Watching D-League footage it looks like he has developed a better mid range jumper and extended out to 3pt range (29 3pt%).

    #FreeMarioHezonja, #FreeAlexLen, #FreeLance are some of mine.

As for Lance Stephenson, I don’t get why Doc suddenley burried him in his doghouse when they were winning games with him as the starter. I don’t get what MbahMoute brings that he doesn’t. Stephenson plays better D, which is suprsing since he is not really known for it but really MbahMoute is and overrated defender while Stephenson gives good effort going over screens and keeping his man in front of him. He is a better creator and can shoot better than MbahMoute, even though they’re both not that good at it.

I’d love it if the 76ers made a play for the guy at the Deadline, seems to be out of Skiles’ favor and could be had for the right price in a similar situation to Tobias Harris in Milwaukee…

Side thought, screw KJ McDaniels, karma is a cruel mistress, shouldn’t have forced his way off a team that had plenty of minutes to go around, Robert Covington is going to make a good living taking the shots KJ left behind, I liked his two way potential but obviously Houston has different opinions about his game, you’d think he get time at Sf opposite Harden but no, he’s not making it off the bench for the Rockets…Could have been the starting SG next to Ish Smith and Simmons/Ingram/Brown and a 4 headed Frontcourt of Noel/Okafor/Saric and Embiid, not to mention Rachuan Holmes…

Did this all start with FreeDarko, that didn’t work too well.

WCS, the Kings didn’t pick him that high to only play him 18 minutes a game.  Cousins needs to play, Koufos is good too, but with power forward and center available for them there should be more minutes for Cauley-Stein.

Bobby Portis, he seems like a better player now than Gibson, and obviously he is the future and Taj is not.

Joseph Young, the Pacers do have plenty of scoring small guards but when he gets some minutes he seems to always show he is a  draft steal.

Len for the Suns, he needs to get 30 minutes a game, or more.
