MagikKnickParticipantI personally think anyone over the age of 34 should call it a career….
But guys like Mike Taylor and Gerald Green who are filled with loads of potential should definetly be at th end of a teams bench throughout next season trying to get themselves some palytime….my Knicks signed like 8 guys to compete fo roster spots…and i wish we had signed one of these 2

dmo21Participantheard he signed with the nuggets, very good pick up for a very strong forward
the blazers also signed ime udoka..

llperezI think Wally Sczerbiak and Stromile Swift are the two best available on that list.

SlimParticipant6’7 192 lbs
Could be a go-to guy IMO if he starts
coming off screens and using his teammates better
I don’t know if he should be a complementary player
he should be more of a catch and elevate 4 jumper/slash to the rim for dunk
good player he should watch:
Rip Hamilton 6’6 190

JoeWolf1Voskhul signed a one year non guaranteed contract with Dallas

llperezmy thoughts on gerald green. He still has a lot of potential, but I’ve given up on waiting for it to show up. He is a great athelte, but he is soft as tissue paper. Unless he has an open lane to the hoop, he doesnt’ go strong or play through contact. This means he often has to settle for jumpers and he really isn’t even a very good shooter. He tends to shoot off balance instead of squaring up. He gets punked on the defensive end too. He needs to hit the weights hard or spend an entire summer just working on his jumper, one or the other.

MagikKnickParticipantI copied and pasted it from a site, so dont attack me if someone has been signed…
As for Wally Szerbdocfjkbbcvehfjgvhtkgfj, How much do you guys think he still has left in the tank?
And Gerald Green can be a really good playr imo, if given the minutes…surprised hes not on a roster yet, hes still only 23, and his potential is sky high…
Im also a fan of Mike Taylor, dont know why the Clippers cut him..for Sebastian Telfair?! A young, athletic point guard….i he can develop his PG skills, and shooting,i can see a poor mans Rose/Westbrook
And then you have guys like Tinsley, BJackson, and Dixon, who may be up there in age..but can still provide servicable minutes for a team in need

JoeWolf1I wasn’t attacking you man, I was just updating the list, that was just today that Voskhul got signed, I know everyone on here likes to keep up with team rosters and such so I was just letting everyone know. Stackhouse has been working out with Atlanta all summer and apparently he is looking pretty good, I wouldn’t be surprised if they added him for the veteran minimum this season.

davidnoelParticipantwho know what’s so remarkable about that list? except for a few guys, all of these guys were studs in college, at big time programs! That list only backs up my claim that the NBA is the hardest professional sport to enter and remain in
0 - Posted on: Mon, 09/28/2009 - 8:28am #217072

MagikKnickParticipantI dont think Atlanta should do that..they have Johnson, Crawford, and Evans…all capable 2-guards
But hey….J4F, if you were to take the best of the FAs left, and put them all in Seattle, how many games do you think they’d win? lmao..
My All-FA lineup would be:
PG: Mike Taylor
SG: Wally Szerbiak
SF: Gerald Green
PF: Stromile Swift
C: Robert Swift
6th: Stephon MarburyLOL….They’d have a record of 4-78
Leading Scorer: Wally Szerbiak 7ppg
Leading Assister: Stephon Marbury 2apg
Leading Rebounder: Stromile Swift 1 rpgCHAMPIONSHIP! lol…jk

llperezHey magikKnick, you should put that roster together in the espn fantasy league. I’ll be seeing you in week one.

BlazermannParticipantgreen would lead in scoreing wit 27.6 6 rebs and 7 asts 2.2 stls ,1.7blk. wit 54 wins in the east if everybody good retired
0 - Posted on: Mon, 09/28/2009 - 8:47am #217081

MagikKnickParticipantLOL…That roster in fantasy would be interesting, haha
0 - Posted on: Mon, 09/28/2009 - 9:05am #217089

sheltwon3ParticipantI think Mike Taylor has signed with someone but I forget who, Also not that Murray is gone, Wally may sign one with Denver where he can take Kleiza’s minutes. Also that is so much young talent coming in the league that until they add another expansion team, the will be a lot of players that are good that will not be on teams. Hopefully team will start spending wisely and also building team better not that they have a surplus of overall talent.
0 - Posted on: Mon, 09/28/2009 - 11:04am #217125

MagikKnickParticipantWell Denver signed Joey Graham, traded for James White and Arron Afflalo, plus they still have JR Smith..so i dont see them having a need for Wally
He might end up being the 12th man on a contender because i just dont see him getting signed right now
And Stromile Swift got signed by the Sixers
Anywho…whos the best still available?
0 - Posted on: Mon, 09/28/2009 - 12:24pm #217150

Brevin Knight can still play
Tyronn Lue can still play
Stephon Marbury needs to see a shrink
Anthony Roberson a 3rd stringer if that
Jerry Stackhouse retire if he’s not healthy
Salim Stoudamire should be better

RUDEBOYI THOUGHT U GUYS KNEW about BASKETBALL until i read this post…AND READ HOW you fellas are talking about Gerald Green like he’s an allstar in waiting…Coming out of high school he was compared to TRACY MCGRADY…AND WAS mentioned as a top 3 pick…BUT doing pre-draft workouts scouts saw that he was a great athlete that couldn’t play defense…Had no real basketball fundamentals and had no work ethic..that’s why he fell that low in the draft..SEVERAL TEAMS signed him hoping they would be the lucky one he could blossom with… But his weaknesses outweigh his great athletic skills..I think if he had went to college we will now be talking about how does he rank in the same group of other top shooting guards in the league…..
