BigChamp12ParticipantFree Agency has taken off and there are sure to be some major moves made. What are some of your bold predictions?
I’ll go first….
Cavs land Chandler Parsons, Waiters is out the door
NY re-signs Melo and also lands Pau Gasol
Lakers lose out on Nick Young and Pau Gasol, but lands Bledsoe, Shawn Marion, and Channing Frye
Kevin Love traded to Chicago. They also steal get Caron Butler.
Ariza spurns Wizards, Heat and lands in Houston along with Andray Blatche
Heat pick up Vince Carter, and Jameer Nelson and deals Norris Cole away for future picks. They later pick up Dejuan Blair.
Thunder Land Marvin Williams
I tried…

KHAM83ParticipantOnly thing I see outlandish there is Bledsoe to Lakers. Phx will match any deal.

CavFanPRParticipantPhoenix would be smart to match any offer he signs, unless they think Ennis can replace him which obviously he can’t.

Hacker90ParticipantI’m guessing the Hawks strike out with the top free agents (Lebron & Melo) and end up signing Lance Stephenson to a near max deal

rileymcshea3ParticipantMelo goes to Bulls
Mavs miss out on Melo, sign Parsons
Rockets lose Parsons, sign Lowry
LeBron chooses the Cavs
Cavs trade Wiggins for Kevin Love
Jameer Nelson signs with Pacers
Pau Gasol signs with Knicks

cryan03ParticipantLuol Deng-Dallas, Lance Stephenson-Phoenix, Gordon Hayward-Boston, Trevor Ariza-Washington, Chandler Parsons-Atlanta, Isaiah Thomas-Lakers, Paul Pierce-Clippers, Pau Gasol-Houston, Vince Carter-OKC, Channing Frye-Portland, Spencer Hawes-Phoenix, Kevin Love-gets traded to Cleveland, Jameer Nelson-Miami,
Big 3 – stays in Miami, Melo-stays in New York, Kyle Lowry – stays in Toronto, Eric Bledsoe – stays in Phoenix
I got a feeling that if this rumor with LeBron signing a 1-2 year max deal with Miami that after this contract he is going to team up with Carmelo in New York. Seems like the only reason he would a sign 1 or 2 year deal this time around.

SwatLakeCityParticipantSorry but I’m gonna have to crush some guys dreams. Hayward is not leaving Utah. Utah will match the offer GUARANTEED. Unless its some outrageuos deal like 13-16mil a year. No team in their right mind would make that kind of deal to 2nd or 3rd leading scorer. He should 10-12mil a year, and Utah will definitely match that, and they have the cap space to do that. For all of you that say that Utah usually doesn’t match offers. You’re forgetting Paul Millsap when Utah matched Portland’s offer. The only free agent that Utah has lost because they couldn’t match the offer was Wesley Matthews also from Portland.
I’ve heard Utah really likes Marvin Williams and would like to resign him. He’s one of the few veterans Utah actually wants to keep. So I bet Utah finds a way to resign him. Maybe 4-5mil a year for 2-3 years.
My predictions: Lowry: Raptors, Bledsoe: Suns, Stephenson: Knicks, Deng: Rockets, Parsons: Mavs, Pierce: Clippers, Frye: Portland, Hawes: Cavs (heard they like him and want to bring him back) Love: gets traded to Celtics, Nelson: Jazz (yes I’m going bold and calling this one, although I do have 6 other FA PG’s I’m looking at as well) Carter: Thunder, Thomas: Lakers Gasol: Knicks, Big 3 stay in Miami, Melo goes to Bulls,

SwatLakeCityParticipantAriza stays in Washington. I think he will sign a new deal probably before the end of this week since Gortat has already been re-signed

LeFlopJAMESParticipantIf some team offers 10 mil x year to Ariza, WIZ will let him go.
Maybe a 3 years x 25 million is right for Trevor?0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/02/2014 - 12:07am #930961
