I haven’t been on here in at least a year so I don’t really know what the general consensus is on Kaminsky when it comes to his potential, but from what I’ve seen I think he deserves to be in the top 14. Admittedly I haven’t watched a whole lot of him, but his game has a little LaMarcus Aldridge in it. Not saying he’ll definitely be as good, but I don’t see why he can’t at the least be a poor man’s Aldridge. Thoughts?

 I think Kaminsky will be able to hit the NBA 3 more consistently right from the start. He seems to be a willing passer as well. I’m not sure if defensively he’ll be able to hold his position, despite his size.

 I’m not sold on his NBA potential although he’s a great college player. He’s not a great athlete and doesn’t move his feet particulary well. He also needs to get stronger, especially in his lower body and he struggles to hold his position in the post at times. He does shoot it extremely well for his size and has a very good feel for the game. I just don’t know if he’s a good enough athlete to be more than a mid to low first round pick. Best case scenario I see him as a Kelly Olynk stretch the floor type big man although I think Olynk is more athletic. I think he will really struggle defensively at the next level.

Don’t think Aldridge is a good comparison. I am thinking more of a poor man’s Christian Laetner. Great college player and will be a pretty good but nothing special Pro.

But with the Pro offenses becoming more spread out, I am pulling for Kaminsky to find a good fit somewhere.

 I think Frank will have a long career, but I don’t think his potential is particularly high. 

My main concerns are his footspeed, and the fact he’s not very strong for his size. He’s a tough competetor, and plays with fire, but I think at the NBA level he’ll get tossed around, and outmatched from a speed and quickness standpoint.

That being said, he’s insanely skilled, and has a great face up game. In my opinion, Kaminsky is a guy who could find the right system and be used as an off the bench stretch 4 or 5. Guys who can rock the high low post game, work the pick and pop game, and draw forwards and centers away from the hoop have real value in the NBA these days. 

Bill Wennington found a hope in Phil Jackson’s triangle as a stretch 4 later in his career, and won 3 rings contributing for a contender. Now, I’m not predicting Frank will win 3 rings, but I do think he can play a key role for a playoff team that runs the right offense, or teams with an elite slasher that need a floor spacer at the 4 or 5. Teams like New York, San Antonio, Washington, Pheonix, and Chicago come to mind as teams that he could work well in their systems. 

My comparison for Frank is Wennington. No way he’s a lotto guy, IMO, but I feel his range could open in the mid 20’s when a playoff team is looking to fine tune some strategic spots on their roster, and I’d be pretty surprised if he drops past 40. I think he’s a guy with a wide range, that will take the right team to pull the trigger on.

and the best case for him is a role playing stretch 4 off the bench…  I think it’s going to be hard for him to stay on a roster if his jumper isn’t Ryan Anderson/Steve Novak like…   Without it, he doesn’t have the motor to stay on the floor.   I watched a few big men with the same athletic ability as him but better overall players come into the league and become nothing more than a bench worthy player.   I wouldn’t draft him high at all unless you’re really looking for a stretch 4 off the bench…

 I think Turner, and Portis will  both have better careers. They went for team need "shooting" over best player available while knowing Turner and Portis could both shoot well yet not at Kaminskys level.
